when's XCOM 3?

h2m mod lived. What you're looking for is now called HorizonMW or HMW.

So good it's been abandoned twice now.

My jaw is on the floor at how terrible this campaign is.

It wasn't bad enough for Warzone to ruin 6v6 multiplayer, they decided now it should ruin campaign too. The, air finger quotes, "open combat missions" are truly awful. It basically forces you to stealth unless you want to get sniped by someone a half mile away and also at the top of a tower and alert every enemy on the map to funnel to your exact location.

The "open world" doesn't lead to choices in gameplay, just a bigger and more annoying obstacle to bypass. In the past I've beaten every campaign on Veteran. Now I couldn't be bothered. The open world missions also have poor (read: no) checkpoint placement. I just lowered the difficulty, to not have to put up with the awful experience of playing these missions.

The storyline is idiotic and meaningless. MW2019 made you think this series was going to take risks. MW3 is here to remind you it is only here for Warzone and selling you skins, and if you care about anything else, screw you.

Multiplayer is at least better than New MW2, but that game had the worst multiplayer of all time, so take that for what it's worth.

Picture a high-stakes extraction shooter that crashes every other round. Oh, and of course you automatically lose everything you dropped with. Utterly inexcusable.

Most of the negative reviews focus on previously bought tables in FX3. These don't apply to me as I'm a newer player in general, but even then this game manages to disappoint. There is no account linking to speak of, so even NEW PURCHASES IN PINBALL FX FROM OTHER CONSOLES are not usable. This is unacceptable and a predatory monetization attempt that absolutely deserves to be shamed.
