FOR SUPER EARTH, DEMOCRACY PREVAILS! Sony has just announced that they are going to be reversing the PSN requirements, allowing players from over a hundred countries to once again be able to play the game. An incredible experience, best enjoyed with friends. Helldivers 2 will bring your graphics card to its knees trying to render all of the Managed Democracy™️ you and your fellow Helldivers will spread across the galaxy. I'm not one to usually play many shooters due to the hyper-competitive nature of them, but because this game is PVE and focuses on completion rather than leaderboards, this has become one of my favorite games of all time. Immersing yourself in the cult-like (in a good way) community playing into the bit is refreshing-- and there is a lot of positivity in this community-- despite a vocal minority. The developers are constantly adding new items and storylines, and the story evolves as players actively PLAY the game. You are the reason the story succeeds or fails.
On Super Earth, all citizens are valued equally, but Helldivers are the most valued.
You matter, and your actions matter.
Glory to Super Earth.

Original review:
I love this game, but Sony has decided to implement the most idiotic policies imaginable.
A heavy-handed and honestly terribly-performant kernel-level anti-cheat has been a part of the game since launch, and now Sony and Arrowhead are forcing the players to create and link a PSN account for "stability and security" and to "ban bad actors".
There are tens of countries in which you cannot create a PSN account, and people are being banned for avoiding this. If players do not link a PSN account, their account gets banned. There is no winning here.

TL;DR. An incredible game bogged down by Sony wanting to sell customers' data and violating both EU law and their customers' trust. I will change this review if they rescind this policy, but this has left a bad taste in everyone's mouths.
