Hunt: Showdown is an immersive extraction shooter, where you play with up to 12 players on a large map and compete for bounties. However, the game dramatically changes once you reach the highest MMR category. You are no longer matched against "real" players, but instead have to fight against overweight (and possibly mentally challenged) German men, aged 30 to 50, who live off welfare and reside within a small apartment complex in Berlin. You will often encounter these "specimen", quitely waiting in a bush with their Meynard Sniper and a supressed pistol as they watch YouTube videos on their second screen, while they wait for an unsuspecting victim to get close. Whenever they queue with a "friend", there is a 50% chance of them both equipping a shotgun, every single trap you can buy, and turn the boss' lair into an impenetrable fortress. Once you inevitably die to one of these creatures and inspect their profile, you will often find that they may have a Twitch or YouTube link somewhere, yet they never stream or upload videos. This doesn't surprise me however, considering the fact that there is no way that a fat, balding, middle-aged male who sits in a bush or camps a building for at least 40 minutes straight will ever find an audience for his "highly entertaining" content. Despite their boring but "patient" and "realistic" playstyle, they still rarely have a positive K/D ratio, because they would prefer to never actually fight an opponent who is aware of their presence. In conclusion, it's mid.

Why is the base game STILL €60 WHEN IT IS NOT ON SALE
Why is the season pass STILL €50 WHEN IT IS NOT ON SALE
Why would you expect anyone to pay full price for a nearly 9 year old video game with a dead playerbase?

And when there finally is a sale, the game is only 50% off, which is still overpriced.

PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds Battlegrounds

There is no anti-cheat and the only thing that's been improved since launch is performance.
