Heavily focused on storyline and action packed game with great attention to detail, which you do not want to miss on.

What can you expect from Mafia II? Beautifully crafted city to experience, '40-50s atmosphere delivered by music, clothing, guns, cars and rest of the visuals overall, well done driving mechanics, where every car handles differently along with the same feeling when it comes to shooting from a variety of guns.

There are so many tiny details, which make the experience even more rewarding, like: driving on a red light can trigger nerby police patrols to start a chase after you, if you drive car long enough it can run out of fuel, no more "every car is open and ready to go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" or packing two magazines of bullets into enemies, before they fall down. It's really easy to immerse into the world.

Strongest point of the game is without a doubt - its plot. Without spoilering anything - life in a family isn't as colorful as one would expect. One day you are rich and without any worries about tommorow, when suddenly you are left out on a street the next day. Story of Vito Scaletta goes through all of the shades, from white to black and all the way around again. You need to remember that being a member of the family has its own set of rules and responsibilities, and all in all - it's like walking on rope. Remember, everything is just a buisness.

Great cutscenes with beautifuly animated characters supports told story strongly.

I can't really put a finger on anything to be honest. If I've really wanted to find any flaws - that would be probably enemies' AI, who sometimes acted really out of place (like running straight on you for no reason), but for the most of the time it wasn't a case.

One thing I would wish for (even though whole package was complete) were moments where you had to make a certain choice. During the game there were more than a few moments which could be resolved by an ablity to decide about their outcome - choosing one or the other way to deal out with the problem at hand. Would call it a perfect game then.

My verdict? This comes as close to a 10/10 as it gets, but since some minor things could be improved 9.5/10 for overall experience.

P.S. Oh, did I mention the collectibles? Gotta find them all Playboy magazines!

Eugh. Picked this up during one of the Week Long sales for only $4.99(technically 10 bucks since I purchased one for my buddy as well), and even at that price I would say to stay away. The combat gets repetitive and boring after only the first mission, and there's around 20 of them.
