(ALERT! THIS REVIEW CONTAINS MINOR SPOILERS SUCH AS CHARACTER AND LEVEL SPOILERS AND I'M TOO LAZY TO SPOILER IT) Its just a kid with a hat. What more do you want me to explain. Other than its the best game ever made. I love this game. Best game i have ever played. The game has really good and satisfying controls. The game has fantastic graphics and good soundtrack. I bought this game when it was on sale and boy it was a good deal. I was waiting for this game to be in sale for a very long time but the wait was definitely worth it. Every level in this game is unique and exciting. If you think of a game like Super Mario Galaxy, where there is a lot of stars to collect but you don't feel like getting all those stars. In A hat in time, this didn't happen because like i said, every chapter and act is unique in its own way. So i got all the Timepieces before i finished the game. (Time pieces are the main objective of the game) There is 40 time pieces to collect in A Hat In Time. 56 With both the DLCs. After about 20 hours of playing the game i beat this game 100% and was bummed out that the game was already over. The game may have been short but the experience you get from this game is so good that it easily became my best game i have ever played. After i finished the game i realized that there was a DLC for this amazing game. The DLC is called Seal the deal and it adds 1 new chapter and a new very hard mode that i'm still trying to complete called Death wish. The new chapter was called The arctic cruise that took place in an big cruise ship. It was everything i had hoped for but the only thing was that was sad that there was only 3 acts in that chapter. But as you may have guessed the acts were so good that it still was a fun time to play. A week after i bought the game a new DLC came out called Nyakuza Metro + Online Party. It added another new chapter and the online party which adds the ability to play with 50 other people at the same time. Gears For Breakfast added stickers to the game and finally i can have fill my steam inventory with A Hat In Time stickers. I really had fun playing this game. The best chapter was chapter 2 called Battle Of The Birds where you got to be the star of 4 movies called Train Rush, Murder On The Owl Express, Picture Perfect and The Big Parade. You made these movies with 2 movie directors, The Conductor who is the best character in the game. He makes western movies about his train called The Owl Express. On the other end there is DJ Grooves who is all about popularity. After you filmed the movies your movies get rating based on how well you played the levels. In my first game The Conductor won by around 400 points. Chapter 3 was really good. The chapter takes place in a place called Subcon Forest that is a spooky forest (not really) where you sell your soul to get more time pieces to some shadow thing called the snatcher. Also this game has really good voice acting. Gears For Breakfast Made an Fantastic game for their first attempt at an video game. They really know how to make a proper 3D platformer. This game has the best soundtrack ever. I listen to the soundtrack everyday when i,m at for example the store or just when i'm relaxing. I recommend this game to every single one of my friends. After 1 month and 250 hours of gameplay this game still has more to do especially with the modding community. The PC version of the game supports mods. Best mod in the game is the water dash badge which allows you to do and super jump for more distance for your jumps. After completing this game 110%, i knew what i had accomplished. I had Beaten this game perfectly. Achievements don't count because you don't need them to get 110% for the save file. Some people say that i play this game way too much. Well, they were wrong. They were telling me that because they haven't played the game themselves so they can't feel the same way as i do about the game. If you are reading this, good job for reading this bad review of the game. Please play A Hat in Time. Its worth your money and time. Stop saying that this game sucks if you haven't played this game. If you have played A Hat in Time, good job. You Deserve a medal. A gold medal. I hate how Ign gave this game an 8/10. One of the reasons it had bad score was because the game had voice acting. Thats right! Voice acting! I don't know why they did that but they should give it a higher rating. A Hat in Time has also been released on the Nintendo switch. I myself don't have a switch but my friend has one and i told him to buy A Hat in Time and sure enough he did it. It was still a bit buggy but it was the first version that could be played on the switch. Most of the glitches and bugs have now been fixed. Still prefer the pc version for more fps and graphics. I bet you even haven't read all of this but randomly found this part of the review. Its okay. A lot of people do that. One thing that weirds me out is that both the DLCs have been released on pc and switch but not on Xbox or the Playstation. Why is that? I don't use them for anything anymore so i really don't care about them. So conclusion? This game is the best game i have ever played. But maybe i will find some other game better than this. I hope not. Honestly i own every piece of the official merchandise. I have Spent way too much money for this game. almost everyday new content is released on the workshop and the best ones get to be on the mod spotlight. Some even get to be on the challenge road. (Basically a challenge road where you need to complete 2-3 levels in a row with 3 lives) I do them everytime they appear. But lately i haven't been playing this game at all. Mostly because i've been busy with college and playing other games with my friends. I would play this game more if i had someone to play with. Co-op in this game is kind of buggy. Its even more buggy on the switch. On the switch there is no split screen so its really hard to play when the other player just runs away so the camera follows the player and teleports the other player away. Co-op on the pc is much better. But i hope the switch version gets more updates so its easier and more fun to play on the go. You don't need internet for the game which is cool. Also the new DLC Nyakuza metro gets added on the switch. Sadly no online party. Damn you Nintendo online payments. But yeah. A Hat in Time Is an awesome game and i wish i knew about it much sooner. I had a smile the entire time when i played this game. 10/10 Another conclusion. Forgot to end this earlier. Oops. If you have 30€, 30$ or 30£ or whatever else currency you use then you should buy the game. If you don't want to pend that much money for a perfect game then wait for a sale. Winter and summer sales offer the best prices. Most people don't want to wait long so buy it NOW! I have told about this wonderful game to my friends. Some of them thought i was stupid for bying this game. How about that. They were wrong. Some said nice i'll think about it. And some actually bought the game. Im so happy.
