Although it is a sequel to The Nanny, From The Woods' story can be consumed without having played other Midnight Scenes games. As others have mentioned, this installment does depart from the puzzle solving emphasis. It focuses more on getting the story told and has a heftier portion of narrative compared to the previous games.

This game should come with additional warnings such as the deep desire to own a pet goose and unlocking paranoia about tree roots.

Pathea has certainly refined its formula for life sim games when looking back at My Time at Portia. My Time at Sandrock feels polished - an engaging story, interesting character development, and plenty of charm to boot. With plenty to do and see and a story you can take at your own pace, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this one to anyone looking for a new sim to try.

The Adventures of Wooly is time well spent. Learn how to bake with Wooly, learn how to speak like a sheep with Wooly, and learn about accidents with Wooly.

Historically accurate battle simulator depicting when humanity staved off lizard people.

A short story with several strong nods to the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Sweeney Todd. While there is a superfluous amount of blood, there isn't much more to earn the gore tag. The resource management aspect scales very nicely as upgrades to the building are purchased. I would love to see a sequel to this game.

Graveyard Keeper = Stardew Valley - Romanceable NPCs + Corpses

A short puzzle game that holds up even ten years later. The controls are simple and the puzzles are usually intuitive. While the coloring is dark, the graphics are still surprisingly good. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
