this game and overwatch original are the most hectic and fast fps games in existence, and this one is a little faster. if you like extremely high skill ceiling competitive games then you can literally do no better. imagine the best parts of apex legends but constantly and faster. better get on this glory train before it's fully gone cause if you haven't gotten bitten yet, go play 5 multiplayer rounds and see. 144fps on a $200 gpu it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ glorious

and the campaign is really good for those who like beautiful games with solid story

I have 600+ hours on the origin version.

It's the most fluid, fun battle royal. If you like like to push aggressively and pull off sick moves this is your battle royal.

I literally just beat Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal, and I gotta say this game is even more fun. While doom has more variety in monsters, weapons, and vistas, the charm and challenge of only shooting and reloading and dashing to the beat really makes a magic moment of pure FPS zen that you have to experience to believe.

The best parts of doom was when the music and action synced up just right - this game is ONLY that. The music ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rocks, the gameplay is as tight and fast as doom, if you like doom what the ♥♥♥♥ are you waiting for?

It's $20, and that's such a steal I STOPPED STEALING MID DOWNLOAD TO BUY IT
Gotta support awesome new ♥♥♥♥ like this, I bet this is a genre soon, thanks for making it Devs!

This is like if the Elder Scrolls was about being a ninja with magic, but for real. Like that was the goal.

This is a fun game which you move and attack to the beat of the music. You can import ANY songs you like and play the game with your own soundtrack!

This is the PERFECT wife/girlfriend co-op game! Local co-op! One person can use keyboard one controller if you only have one. My wife beat the first boss on her own after I died and was ecstatic, and she has only played one videogame in her entire life! Very easy to pick up and play!

They've taken the already fantastic combat from The Surge and added two more levels of depth taken right from Bloodborne and For Honor -

namely, healing through aggression (attacking rapidly gains energy which can be used to heal)

and a parry system where you block an attack from the incoming direction, timed right makes it a riposte.

there are also now charge attacks, with their own different animations, effects (such as lifting enemy into the air) and even combos.

If you enjoyed The Surge for the combat, i think you will be pleasantly surprised with it here!

and once you get out of the tutorial level, the intricate, secret-passage-filled level design from the first is here in full glory!

cons so far:

-even maxxed, character model graphics look kind of blurry, tried disabling every setting and cannot make it right.
-i noticed the tv broadcast had a still image of a general when talking, the first had beautiful, full acted videos in game.
-the first two bosses (maybe just mini-bosses, in the tutorial prison area) are humans.
-the first Surge had a better starting area

Overall I am glad to have more Surge, and better combat!
