I will put my review simply: This (along with the Road to Gehenna DLC) has been the most enjoyable puzzling experience I have had in a video game. Challenging, fun, and beautiful.

Wonderfully original, fun gameplay, nice surprises. Not particularly /long/, but it has a bit of replay value (w/ the achievements and even some game lore). Worth every cent.

The major negative you are likely to read in the reviews is that, at official full release, the game was not sufficiently polished, or... well... finished. That is probably a fair assessment.

That particular negative is at least partially balanced by the $10 price tag, the great developer communication in the forums, and the updates which continue to come in.

When you add the actual fun /of the game itself/, I believe the game comes out clearly in the "recommended" column.

It will be interesting to see how the game develops over the next six months or so. In fact, if I had to give a current criticism of the game, it would be that it is not balanced well. On the other hand, they have been tweeking this. Recently, they nerfed the strongest items in the game, which I definitely agreed with. That was a big help. It did not make sense that they were as strong as they were. But, without going into unnecessary detail, there is still some work to be done there, I think.

To put this review simply, if the idea of running a store for adventurers, and occasionally gardening/hiring an adventurer/beating back barbarians seems fun to you, and you don't mind a game that is continuing to shape itself, this is for you.
