Ya guys ever heard of a platformer bullet-hell?
Its like Touhou and Metroid had a sweet sweet lovechild
Why does no one talk about this gem? The gameplay is fantastic, the soundtrack is good, the visuals are...

anime tatas.

As a homestuck fan, i will try to give this review with as little bias as possible. I loved it. Here's a spoiler free review:

pros:
* The music is amazing, as excpected from the people at the music team.
* The artstyle is real easy to look at and appreciate.
* The story so far is interesting, taking place somewhere before the begining of the events in Homestuck (haha who am i kidding, pinpointing a beginning on the homestuck timeline is like trying to find the mean between zero and infinity), and the humor is cyoot.
* The gameplay is standard point and click fun, EVERYTHING is interactable with EVERYTHING, so if you're the type of peep who likes his games slow and rich, this can work very well for you. Puzzles are interesting but nothing you cant solve, so it's not gonna be one of those games you need to open the wiki for to search how to progress.
* This game doesn't require any fancy computer parts to run, and it ran smoothly on my potato i3 intel hd graphics 4600 on the highest definition, so if you are low end, you can purchase without fear.

with all that, here are some noticable cons:
* The most noticeble one: it's SHORT. Like, I'm a nerd who likes to use all the interactability and slow down to read in some parts, so I got 6 hours out of this game. But a man who likes his game fast and to the point, and people who just want to get on with the story, will finish it in 3. But you know a game is good when the most noticeable bad thing with it is it being too short. Hopefully the 2nd act comes withing less than a year, but you know how it is with homestuck titles. One can only hope.
* With the intentions of this game to be a complete standalone title and people not needing to read homestuck to enjoy it, you will miss a LOT if you didn't read it. I'm not saying you CAN'T enjoy it without Homestuck; but the first act fails to explain itself many times, if you're new you would miss half the jist. Maybe it's a way for the game to stay mysterious for the second act, but I know it's going to annoy some people.
* The game is simplistic, and can be predictable at some points. If you are searching for hardcore puzzles and mindblowingly complex gameplay, im afraid you wont find it here. The point of the game is to enjoy the feel, story and characters (which are all adorable btw), not to win.
* It had some visual glitches at some points, but that was because I was messing with the screen resolution while tabbing out. Also it had some lag loading certain clips, but nothing to worry about.
* Not even a con, just my petty nitpick: it has nothing to do with Sburb, at least not now. I know it's supposed to be focused on the troll-human relations, switching planets yadda-yadda... But what I personally liked best about Homestuck was Sburb, the concept of a game being connected personaly to you, with kids learning and becoming gods and most importantly: adults. Again, this is just a nitpick and I know it wasn't planned to be connected to Sburb in the first place but... A man can dream right?

I give a score of 7/10, great for me, maybe not much for other people. It's only 8 bucks anyway, you're not risking much by buying it, and I can say with confidence that 3 hours of this 8 buck game is more fun and rich than 1.5 hours for 15+ bucks going to a movie.

In short, I think heavy sums it up accurately:
