I got this game for pocket change and it is probably one of the better gaming experiences that I've had. Everyone of course talks about the crazy movement which is the main selling point of this game. It does feel incredibly rewarding when you get new abilities, and the game does push you to master all of the different techniques. It's also just very cutesy and non-serious which is a welcome change of pace from the games I typically play. Not even a big fan of platformers or Metroidvania games, but this one sold me. Overwhelmingly positive for a reason.

playing this on PC made me buy a Switch just so I could play 2, 3, & Origins

There really is no other experience like Outer Wilds. The nonlinear storytelling is absolutely wonderful and makes the game feel much more rewarding when you discover something major. There are a lot of pleasant twists and turns, and while the game contains several darker elements (especially the DLC!), the overall vibe of the game is very cute and heartwarming. Cannot recommend this game enough.
