This is a heavy colony sim that also doubles as a survival game. Super fun, was not expecting it to have such a nice and robust villager system. Could use a lot of work but for an EA title it's great. Look forward to seeing the progress.

One of the best games made ruined by terrible decision making not even related to the game. Deserves a clown of the year award or something.

Edit: Reversed the decision and they even are wearing it on their sleeve with the new cape. They won me back.

Microtransaction additions were scummy.

No new game option was a REALLY odd choice, but whatever.

Optimization was unacceptable at the start (Might be different by the time you read it?)

But damn I am a sucker becaues this game is just too good for me to let any of that affect me. I was enjoying the hell out of the game at 20 fps in cities, 25 fps in fights for the first 10 hours. Finally found a good optimization video and I started holding 50+ fps anywhere but Vermund and my enjoyment was still rock solid 30 hours into it. This may be an unpopular take right now, but I'd pre-order the DLC if they announced it today.

Just spent 16 hours straight beating the game alongside some friends (Not playing together, just at the same time). We laughed, cheered, and overall had a damn blast playing this game. Well worth the money. It may not be AC of old, and it may not be a Dark Souls mech game, but it is Armored Core 6, and wow is it a great game.

For the price, this is probably the best game of all time, no cap. I can't believe the amount of hours and satisfaction I get for 3 dollars. What an insane deal.

*Potential Soft Spoilers Ahead*

I like the game, and I think overall it's a good experience. But I have to be completely honest.

Playing on hard, beat the game already. Games WAY too easy. Please add a Nightmare difficulty. Add volatiles during the night, disable the freaking Super combat buffs we get during certain moments. Make encounters feel dangerous. Why are level 3-4 chases only 3-4 monsters? I should feel swarmed. The game holds my hand and it's incredibly frustrating.

Good story, meh characters, top freaking tier gameplay, ♥♥♥♥ difficulty. Overall worth playing once, maybe wait for a harder difficulty before a second playthrough.

Edit: To be clear, I think looking at the story objectively it's good, but it's held back significantly by not having really any likable characters. Any character that is likable... well DL2 has a bad habit of going the Game of Thrones route.

Honestly. Game is great. I was super on the fence about it, and not enjoying the boy matches at all. But once I got into matches with players (mostly players) I've had a blast. The hectic engagements and coming out on top are incredibly satisfying.

So far, it's been a great game. Honestly, it's a fun game. Give the Demo a try, worth it.

Yeah it has it's problems but to me this is far superior to games like Remnant or Borderlands. So if neither of those did it for ya, I'd say this is a good alternative.
