Team Fortress 2 (TF2) is a ridiculously fun game made by the same people who made the Half-Life franchise. Though both the games run on the same engine (and Counter Strike:GO), the similarities end there. TF2 is a much more 'vibrant' and fun game. With 9 different classes to choose from and clearly defined roles, you will rarely get bored of this game.

There are no bots, so it is online multiplayer only. Grab a few of your friends and get crackin'


About the game itself, it is an MMOFPS (that's Massively Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter) and involves you taking on the role of one of 9 distinct classes (Offense - Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Defense - Heavy Weapons, Engineer, Demoman, Support - Medic, Sniper, Spy) and work collaboratively as a team to achieve your objectives (It is called TEAM Fortress 2 for a reason).

I do not wish to spoil anything further and at the low price of $0 there is no excuse not to check this out.

Cons:
- Huge download size (around 12 GB last I recall) - In today's era of large games, this is almost insignificant
- The online community can sometimes be a pain to new players (like most other online games) - This is not as bad as tales I have heard of CoD, and more often than not, the TF2 bunch are a fun bunch
