First and foremost I would like to start with the fact that my significant other hates this game due to the amount of time I put into it. It is quite a commitment if you are looking to keep up with all the content available like any other MMO. That being said, I myself greatly enjoy it. The background story is a pretty standard, "collect x artifacts to save the world" but the NPCs are varied and are pretty interesting. You spend a lot of time with a central cast but there are a whole roster of them to learn about through various interactions.

The game-play is fast paced and fluid but I would be wary of ping issues if you're from outside the server area. High pings can potentially contribute to some content being harder to get through. There are multiple classes which have varying builds and play-styles. While there is a "meta" build for each class, there's enough classes at this point that you will most likely a class that you will find enjoyable to play. The game is also regularly adding new classes as it catches up to its Korean counterpart which is several years ahead in content.

Please be aware that this is not a brand new game as it is just a NA/EU release of a longstanding Korean MMORPG. As such, the standard grind is innately part of the game and something you either enjoy, or tolerate, to play this game for an extended period of time. End game content at this point is sufficient for me but is really carried by the fact that I play with friends. I imagine trying to solo queue all the content in the game is possible but would become tiring at some point.

All in all, this is a good MMORPG in an ocean of similar products. It's grindy but not you can get to all the content without having to spend any real cash. Even the main point of the game, skins, are possible to attain with in game currency. If you have some time to commit to the game, it's well worth the investment, especially if you have a fun group to do content with. It's a solid 8/10.

CS:GO Review
If you've enjoyed the various renditions of CS in the past, this is a more polished version made for competitive play. Yes there are hackers but honestly the way they handle reports on Steam is pretty decent. If you're new to the CS franchise, this is a good place to start as it incorporated a lot of qol changes that make it easy to pick up and play also allows growth for those looking to max out their skill. If you're coming from something like CoD, the game will be pretty different and might take some adjustments but it should be a fun time nonetheless.

It's The Legend of Zelda, but darker and grittier. If you thought changing into a wolf was intense, try a flame engulfed demon. The story is tight and the mythos is interesting. You get a variety of weapons and items to choose from, each with their unique purpose and advantages in battle. The developers threw in a bit of RPG elements with a leveling system for skills which didn't add too much to be honest. The game is a little short and some of it is predictable as far as action games go. It definitely doesn't have the depth that other action games (Elder Scrolls, Witchers, and even LoZs) but still, for those who are a fan of action games like LoZ, this game is worth playing.

I would recommend playing the game with a controller as it seems like a much more precise experience. The game has some camera issues which the controller alleviates by giving you more control over the camera angles.

Loot, loot, and more loot. Anyone who's ever played a RPG loves games that reward you for everything you do and this game does that in truckloads. Kill a grunt, get a gun. Open a locker, get some grenades. Reach into a toilet, grab a legendary item. Loot aside, this game is a fun FPS as well. It's not necessarily about how accurate you are but about how much of the area in front of you, and sometimes behind you, you can cover with bullets. Throw enough bullets out there, you're bound to hit something.

Borderlands combines two great genres of games with a fun story and characters that don't take themselves too seriously. With the main game taking 20+ hours and 4 DLCs that add at least 5+ hours of gameplay and new bosses to experience, this game is well worth the time and money.

Grab some friends, grab some guns, and take a shot at everything.

Everything you've heard about this game is true. All the stories of people destorying their TV's with flying controllers, smashing their faces through tables out of frustration, and killing their pets in order to have killed something after all their efforts are all true.

This game is hard. Not impossible but not something you pick up and get through without some trial and error. The game takes time and with some effort, is quite rewarding. The lore for this game is intense and every little bit of progression adds more to an overall story. Almost nothing in this game is handed to you but everything is worth earning. The landscape is gourgeous and the customization options are only limited by how much time you want to spend.

Be warned though, a controller is strongly reccommended.

The game plays similarly to other ARPG's such as the Diablos and Path of Exile. The story is unique in the sense that it draws strongly from the Van Helsing lore and the steampunk styling of it doesn't appear in many other ARPG's. The game is still quite buggy as there are many skills that quite inbalanced (looking at you fire pillar and electro ball) and some classes are definitely better than others but it seems that the developers are still actively pushing out updates and fixes. Definitely worth getting and playing through if you're interested in the styling of the game, the story, or are a big fan of ARPG's but don't expect it to be a perfectly polished product.
