Amazing game! This game has a lot of potential. Even though it's only in Early Access right now, I'm quite surprised that it got me to playing 30+ hours of it. It's quite surprising since the content is very very limited right now which is what most negative reviews are saying. I don't find that enough to give it a no since it explicitly says Early Access and also they provided an early road map too so I don't know what people who rated this a no expected.

The game plays like a mix of Curse of the Dead Gods and Risk of Rain 2. It takes the fight-feel of Curse but it shifts into a more simple iteration of it. There's no parries or spammable i-frames. You have to have good positioning and pay attention to the enemy attacks and MOVE AWAY from them. There's no dodging into enemies here. The only i-frames you have available are in some abilities that have cooldowns so you have to think about whether to use them for more damage and stagger or hold it off so you can have an escape for bad situations.

The RoR 2 aspect that I see in it is that the general loop is reliant on time and getting stronger either solo or as a group. It's quite rewarding to finish activities together and have everyone benefit from it in terms of items and level ups. It's hard to fall behind unless you deliberately sabotage your group by doing your own stuff. Some complain about the time limit but I think it's a fun way to budget your time and pick which activities to do and what can boost your group for the end-chapter fight. If there weren't any limits to powering up then every run would just be a steamroll and I think that would be hella boring.

It's really a good game even in Early Access. I fully recommend if the budget allows. 10/10 would watch ravens again
