My husband and I picked this up since it was on sale and we had fun at first, good bit of skill check and getting small power ups to get through the first world, but the desert is where it all fell apart. Lots of enemies that are very fast with barely any indication of them attacking, including the boss for the third level. It quickly became unfun and we just kinda dropped the game after then. Also the fatigue system, while understandable, just isn't fun, since the newer characters just seemed better than the older ones in almost every way. Wanna do melee? Go Mark. Wanna do ranged? Go Lucy. The dad has such a short range and while the shield is nice, it does not last long enough, especially when there are a million enemies each chunking it away. The double dagger kid was neat in concept but he also has a short range, moving while attacking doesn't help him enough, and the stacks of attack speed buff go away too fast and he's just too brittle. There's also the issue of playing co-op, the person that joins you has constant issues with stuttering, teleporting and getting hit with things they were clearly out of reach of.

This is the best game you will ever play. It is adorable and has some of the best platforming ever! 10/10

Very short game, took me about 5 minutes to beat it. It was fun, nice little proof of concept, but could be so much more. Hoping they make a full game out of this, since the upgrade fusing is a neat concept, but runs out so quickly.

Best roguelike ever, top tier, pinnacle of gaming

I haven't had this much fun with a game in a long time. It's so charming, cute, and relaxing, with lots to do.
