Way too many particle effects, heavily teammate dependent which allows for easy spawn trapping. A mid game to satisfy the hole left by Overwatch. Possibly a solid team based game if you can find 5 friends to play with but right now a chaotic silly mess.

Got it for free in a giveaway. Game is so bloated with DLC it suffers from not having meaningful content. The launch of the new versus mode is poorly balanced, and the EAC is almost a relic as of 2024. While this was tolerable in PvE modes, because it's a PvE game, play how you want, the same scripts in PvP make the experience agonizing.

Underneath the endless layers of "buy this now" there's a decent game, problem is you're getting what is more or less a demo to prop up the player base.

Probably the best community mod out there for Company Heroes. The addition of the Soviets and the Othseer gives the game yet another expansion in terms of multiplayer and skirmish, with unique playstyles and tactics. The balancing is imperfect like most games, but is great for friends or small LAN parties, on par with a retail game.

Game is alright, the in game cash shop is unbearable. Not even the master collection includes all of the extra command trees. It's a pretty good example of a ftp moba cash shop in a retail version of the game. Not worth $5, the first CoH is priced the same for good reason.

This game is an easier to understand version of past Elder Scrolls games, fairly large sandbox but smaller compared to TES4 however, this game contains more content per square foot, with an absurd amount of quests. Good game. It is easy for people new to Elder Scrolls and sandbox rpgs to get into.

As a stand alone game, it is very good, could be the best fantasy sandbox rpg to come out for 5-7 years.
the dlc refines this game, though it is not entirely needed for a great experience.
The modding community is massive for this game, and credit to them for letting players choose what they want in their gameplay experience.

At this point the sky is the limit when it comes to modding, allowing players to fix most of the problems with the game.
need bugfixes, mods do that
need new weapon designs and choices, mods do that.
want the game to look better, mods do that.
want to balence out the game more, mods do that.

It is a different style of game than tesIII/tesIV but still a very good game.

Buy it, still better than the $60 games people are releasing three years later.

*update* 4/2015 you now have to pay for mods on the $teamworkshop, due to this, moding for this game will die in a couple of months. RIP skyrim, kind of sad that valve and bethesda would kill their own community.

*update* 4/2015 Valve and Bethesda decided this is presently not a good idea so you may buy this game again. Don't hold out for Elder Scrolls VI though, it will likely have mods as microtransactions.
