I've been a huge dead space fan for quite a while now and while I haven't beat the remaster yet, I am already willing to say with absolute certainty that it's well worth the money. The graphics and sound are absolutely amazing, the atmosphere from the first game is totally there, along with the anxiety inducing soundtrack. The game still has a nice, heavy, ALMOST clunky feel of the original, but so much smoother and so much nicer feeling. Zero gravity sections have been entirely redone to feature the free flying from DS2 and 3 and its a SIGNIFICANT upgrade imo. Instead of picking up weapon schematics to spend all your credits on, you now instantly get the weapon to try on the spot which lets you decide what you want without having to go bankrupt for it. Isaac's voice acting is super great and doesn't feel out of place at all, I feel like it actually helps the story out a lot and helps you better feel his emotional connection to the characters and the Ishamura ship he's exploring. All of the levels are much better connected in the ship this time around as well, some of the levels are directly connected and the ones that require the tram no longer require a loading screen. You get on the tram, choose the destination, and watch the whole time as your tram goes through the ship while being in control of Isaac the entire time. It all builds up to a much more immersive experience. While the textures and models are WAY better looking, the lighting changes really blow all of that away, they are amazing, they bring everything to life and make the atmosphere, along with the gameplay, a lot more visually interesting. The story has been altered slightly in some areas, however in every case so far, I've personally felt it was an upgrade.

I'm playing using an RTX 3060ti with an R7 5800x and the game runs buttery smooth for me. High settings at 1440p consistently getting 120+ fps, I only encountered a few stutters and all but one went away instantly. Just be sure to download your newest graphics drivers.

Also I've seen people trying to hate this game for being too woke. I also typically dislike wokeness in media, however I never once felt it to be any sort of issue in this game. For the most part its just that some characters on posters have changed ethnicity, however the year is 2508, I feel like there are probably black people that also want to go on a planet cracking expedition, and in terms of the propaganda posters, it makes more sense for there to be every kind of person on there to try and influence as many people as possible. They also changed Johnston from somebody who looks like a dad, to a black female, which I would normally understand the outrage for, however she's only there for like 8 minutes total of the game, and I found the interactions with her to be interesting.

Genuinely my biggest complaint is just Isaac's redesign it don't look like Isaac, just his voice actor, however I've already gotten used to it and it's in no way a deal breaker.

Absolutely buy this game, whether you loved the first, hated it, or have never touched a DS game in your life, BUY IT.

You can listen to all the negative reviews if you'd like, however, this is actually a really good and very fun game assuming you learn to not get affected by the actions of the other players or fall into the "game bad" hivemind. I understand all the complaints but i have to disagree that they should make you avoid buying.

Killers can camp or tunnel you and ruin your experience for one game by essentially killing you entirely right away, now you either let this affect you to the point making a 3 paragraph post explaining why killer is too overpowered and campers should be banned or..... you just find another match and keep having fun.

Survivors can bm harder than an MW2 lobby via teabagging, bullying, and flashlight clicking making your life a living hell and causing you to want to blast a hole through your monitor the size of a small dog. Again you will be tasked with making the decision, forum post about how SWF shouldn't exist, killer is too weak, gen rushing is too powerful, or..... you just find another match and keep having fun.

I'm a firm believer that the fun in a game is what you make of it. Seriously its not a competitive game, I used to experience the tilt hardcore more than pretty much any other game. I used to freak out, read posts agreeing with my poor takes on game balance to make me feel more justified, and complain to everyone about how unfair it felt. But then I realized that was dumb, and that I was being dumb. If you get camped first hook and die in 3 minutes of the match start, so be it, don't let it get to you, it doesn't happen very often and you can go into the next game hoping that you both play better and have a better experience. Same goes for killer, don't allow the people in this game and this community to keep you from playing this just due to their attitudes and overall negative behaviors and mindsets that have been formed over the lifespan of this game. No, whatever you lost to (probably) isn't actually that overpowered, yes, you probably could've outplayed your enemy, no, the way that dude played isn't a bannable offense, and no, you shouldn't judge this individuals personality and life experience or skills purely off of how they played a character in a video game.

TLDR: It's good, just stay positive and don't let the negativity get to you, its just a game, have fun.

Okay, so, the games not perfect. Performance will vary based off each user, I'm on a 3060ti and the game runs very smoothly aside from when particle effects cover the screen but I've heard of people on stronger hardware having more issues. It also took me about an hour to get my controller working on the game due to known issues. That all said, once you get to play it, its really enjoyable. It feels like a mix of all 3 Souls games, Sekiro, and LOZ Breath of the Wild all put into one. The combat feels smooth and responsive similar to dark souls 3 but a with a slightly slower pace due to things like delays between rolls (which I prefer). I can easily see someone sinking ungodly hours into this game and rightfully so. If you can get past performance issues, its a definite recommendation from me.

Despite what some may say, Boneworks is an absolute fantastic game if you're willing to invest some time to get used to it. It's a game intended for experienced VR users and for good reason. Most people upon starting to play Boneworks WILL get motion sick, this is mostly due to your body being a physical object in game leading to you moving around when you don't always intend to. None the less, if you can get acclimated to this, the motion sickness goes away and you begin to realize the potential of having a full body in VR. Anything from using your arms as a weight on top of your gun to mitigate recoil to headbutting zombies and shoulder bashing them. There is so much you can do in this game that I've never seen in another VR game. The entire world is interactable as well. Break glass with chairs, smash computers, climb pipes up to the rooftops, throw a box onto an enemy and crush them, put an empty garbage bin on a zombies head to make them stumble and fall, smash a bottle open to use the broken glass as a sharp object, flip tables, pull over and ruin shelves, make towers and forts of boxes, add balloons to anything and watch it fly away (including yourself), work out with some dumbbells etc etc etc. The options in this game are limitless and there's a good amount of replayability. Even within the main campaign, there's never one way to solve something, even puzzles! You can solve puzzles and deal with enemies in the way that YOU want. There is the main story (usually around 10 hours), multiple arena modes including a zombie wave defense type mode, and giant sandboxes that allow you to use any weapon, fight any enemy, or use any prop that you've found throughout the game.

Do you as please, but I urge you to give this game a chance and not write it off as a "tech demo", its much more than that and is a game that you can feel the passion it was made with. A lot of people will say that this game is no good because Half Life: Alyx exists, however, depending on the person you may actually find Boneworks to be the better of the two experiences. I have played HLA aswell and while its a marvelous game in many regards like graphics and story, it misses out on a lot of the things that i think would be much better if it took from Boneworks.

TL:DR buy it

I have tried to like this game as much as I can but right now that feels impossible to do. The community is all toxic and whiny, not to mention the community is tiny. There are less than 200 concurrent players which leads to you being forced onto east servers which sucks for west players. Everyone who still plays are tryhards who will ruin all fun while trying to get better. The devs also don't update the game or give any new content and don't plan to do much until its official release in winter. The gameplay is very fun though and mechanics like the show director are cool. I would still say give it a try though, and hopefully when it releases and is advertised the problems will fade away.

If you could give mixed reviews I would.

Absoluetely amazing. In my opinion it is nearly a direct upgrade from the first game, which was already beyond stellar. Absolutely Purchase if you enjoyed Danganronpa 1.
