i am very bad at this game but it's fun

look up a guide if you want to actually gitgud

i sell this game to people by telling them that it's like [that other game]craft but addicting. in the years since i started saying that it has evolved more and more. at this point i'd call it maple story or adventure quest, but for nerds who like to gather resources and have challenging fights
the sheer magnitude of options you have for creating your perfect sci-fantasy, steam/diesel/cyber-punk, pirate ninja zombie eldritch horror mansion to house your piles of treasure, fancy items, weapons of legend beyond legend, and all for a 10 dollar buy in more than a decade ago

would i recommend this game? yes... but don't buy it until your finals are over, your dishes are done, your laundry is folded, and you quit your job

Wellp, not only have you created the perfect tower defense game, you've created the perfect idle clicker game
as well as something slightly more addictive than most narcotics
this game includes mini versions of other idle clickers with fresh mechanisms and paint, plus gambling and collectibles
i don't know how anyone will ever do all of this stuff, but i know someone will try

recommended if you have a final exam you'd like to fail in the morning, or a crippling addiction to gachas you'd like to cure

not recommended if you value your capacity for productive thought
i give it: 100 dense plates/my waning sanity

John DOOM who is also DOOM Nukem's cousin was once an office typing on the computer. He sees an email from Duke and said that he is attacked by "aliens"
so John ran fast like hell and he did not need weapon because his weapon is fist and also a blade is his arm
he needed to get to the "aliens" fast so he did a jump from space and blew up mars on his space cycle
and then he met the bad guy and the bad guy was also John DOOM but evil and he said... nothing because John is too cool for words
and so he took the BFG and put it in the crab robot's mouth and pulled the trigger and the day was saved and everyone loved him
the end

this is not a great game
but it's a hell of a lot of fun

the writing is camp, the acting is hammy, the gameplay is kinda repetitive, and man some of the enemies are goofy
but none of those is necessarily bad. it has a lot of points in charm and style, and your two options for experiencing it are to either just shut your brain off and enjoy the spectacle, or laugh at the silliness

i recommend both for a good time

if you like 2d shooters and don't mind wrestling with the UI or the occasional hilarious disaster, it's a lot of fun

it's one of the biggest branches on the FPS tree, most of you already know if you'll like it or not, if you don't know and you either like or are interested in FPS fun, give it a try and find out
