This is a really weird review for me because quite honestly the game as it sits is very very good. BUT what really gets me is the trailer shows us a proper gritty, down to it, no messing about, the gun fight starts, people start dying, its close, explosive and brutal.

Yet in game the characters are something pulled out of bloody Overwatch and the world just doesn't feel that adult, dark, serious most of the time. Why is there loads of really cringe modern tropes in this game when you already had with the direction of the trailer a totally new enough world to explore that felt real and grounded. When you have operators talking about missing their black ass like a modernity riddled modern American is really off putting and totally ruins my immersion. Why are all the characters in this future world like this? Again the trailer did a fantastic job, almost to good because the trailer is very much aimed at adults. But the game is really childish in theme and feel and the characters really ruin it for the most part. i turned off voices after 15 mins.

This game is a damn good game from a damn good dev team, Battle brothers is a work of art and NO mistake. This game could be even greater BUT for me personally you really need the feel of the game to marry up to the trailer feel. No problem with humour in a dark world either it just feels to on the nose and constant, i just cant take the world seriously like i could battle brothers.

Again this is potentially a truly not just great game but a great fanchise in its own right. just redo the characters, give us loads more choice for leaders that feel from your new verse NOT modern nonsense in this cool future world.

Just give us the trailer world in game, thats it. you already spend the money on showing us your idea just who ever you have running charactrer design and such really needs some working on personally. Give us an adult leaning game in the gritting as ♥♥♥♥ and mental world you made in the trailer and thats it you win. until then i'll struggle to suggest it to people and play long term

Great game with incredibly explosive combat, one moment you are looting crackers next moment you are in the middle of the most intense gunfight. the sounds of everyone moving around you, gunshots, ships creaking under the strain of how fk sht i am at this game but come back for more, it's a space anxiety simulator if anything and that's the best bit and no mistake.
The devs work hard on this too and can not be forgotten about, everything looks great and the guns sound and feel awesome it's a must have if you like me enjoy shting your pants looking for space crackers...

Well what can i say, tis been some many years since i played this and Warrior kings. I now remember and can clearly see how and why i got into Stratagy games early! Warrior kings is for me a great splendid mix of building with a simply yet pretty dandy economy alongside pretty good fighting for a game this olde. The options for taking different paths as it were i think's awesome too and the option to build almost anywhere on the map also makes the idea of building good defences as important as huge armies. You'll make ground and lose ground, you'll smash your enemys in one fell stroke and in turn get, Stroked? Anyways play it enjoy it build fast and smart and try your own hand at being a true Warrior King!

Though it is said that this game is not finished, thoughs people would in some sense be right yes WFTO is still being worked on. HOWEVER i've not seen a team work quite so hard in patching and dishing out new content AND keeping the overlords up to date with the goings on in the void. I can see great things from this game and is a pretty good remake in short and you'd be a fool to miss out!

All i can really say is i wish there was more depth in the look and feel of your dungeon. I'd like to see more minions working in different rooms and the rooms be more interactive and have more decorum. I want to see fallen foes looted and their goods sold to others for money in a black market room and the like!

All in all they are off to a good start but i'm feeling more Bad than a pure evil Overlord from the dark planes of the void hell bent on power and killing all before me, let them be hero or otherwise!
