Recent patch debacle was nothing but a process of collapse. It always was rotten within and now wretched smell is erupting above 'polished' surface.

The very existence of this game is based on nothing but monopoly of combined armored warfare genre. They got bolder and bolder as quality and sincerity collapse further and further. The latest patch was simply a rude wakening and i DO NOT recommend this game to new comers. do not become their paypigs who are forced to buy expensive premium vehicles while game provide absolute nothing of value about how to play game properly. They KNEW this for years and couldnt care less to improve, since it always was about ripping genuine military enthusiasts up with the fact this is only legit combined warzone experience.

It definitely is sad to see game go down this way, but DO NOT tolerate their recent greed and unwillingness to communicate. They have proven themselves to be incompetent grifters with zero love and care for well being of their product and customers. If you never played this game, DON'T TRY. Let it rot. If you already playing game, QUIT WITH US. Boycott beyond transaction. Cut this product off your life. Out of your sight, out of your life.

Nail instead of Rifle, Shotgun instead of Pistol. 'Nuff said. Still pays off and gives me horror when dealing with those Vores.

+ hostiles with ultimate teamwork and independent tactics (just like grunts and blackops in HL1)
+ story: eastern styled paranormal horror, and western covert-ops and diabolical truth, any questions?
+ immersive atmosphere and characteristic reaction
+ 10+1 years old and still fresh and new

CONs
- much less MOD community than HL1.
- expansions backstabbing vanilla fans: absolutely regressed with EVERYTHING. This is not a joke nor personal opinion. you'll eventually know after realizing that both expension(entire) is rigged with poorly designs arena encounters
- franchise brutally murdered and vandalized (also F.E.A.R. Online, aka. killing blow was by my homeland P2W swines), only vanilla one is the sane and practical purchase choice.

So listen folks, the first one is the best and honestly gaming-industry friendly choice and i hope someday, we reanimate this priceless masterpiece for another, and greater renaissance of ingame creativity.
