Slight learning curve if you start off making giant fighter jets, but games got potential.

Finally a game that genuinley has thousands of ways to design a vehicle.

Game is buggy.
Copy/pasted code.
Content is lackluster.
Studio has been shut down.

KSP1 with (((only))) a graphics mod is cheaper, faster, and has more content.

There's a lot of good parts and bad parts of this game. The story is like they call it, an act. Like watching a play at a theater, you have no control over it. You're just a pawn in a story developing around you.

PROS:
*The sound effects are insane and the music is pretty good if you are into the genre
*The game-play is fun and a great way to pass time.
*The physics of the game seems mostly refined and it's very satisfying to just float around cutting stuff.
*The ships seem daunting at times, but you can really get a hang of them and you can see yourself getting faster and faster each time.
*The campaign progression of upgrading your equipment and seeing you and your equipment improve so much is very satisfying.
*Early access is showing that they are actually working and improving the game. I've reported a few bugs and they all seem to actually get fixed. In fact, all of the bugs I (and probably a lot of other people) reported were fixed in the last update.
*You can easily rack up hundreds of hours in game trying to master each ship and pay off your debt.

CONS:
*There's a lot of political messages, and a couple straw-men characters that may show the viewpoint of the devs.
*If you're (A) against unions, or (B) like me, are in one and get shafted by both company and union, or (C) don't like seeing politics in games, the story itself may not be for you.
*It's still in a development phase where there are bugs that definitely need to be worked out per update.
*Some ships cannot be worked on without destroying way too many parts
*Currently, there aren't many ships just variants of a couple types.
*During major updates, they can wipe all of your progress and you'll have to start from scratch for everything.

great story, amazing graphics, and the permadeath feature gets a get from me. my only gripe is the puzzle feature can really drag on, and take you out of the immersion.

The next DAYZ?!?! I'd say that... but it's just not as smooth... It's not uncommon to be running, and just faze through the world and fall forever. OR you will try to craft, and faze through a rock, unable to escape... its safe to say that server is now dead to you. Your escape efforts are futile.

If your unfortunate enough to find a server with, god forbid, other people, you will lag uncontrollably, the animals will teleport until either they faze out of existence or kill you, and bandits will one-hit you. Even $5k gaming builds running with 400mbps will have moments where you will get ZERO frames for up to 30 seconds.

The way this game has been created/run, i wouldn't be supprised if its in early access for as long as the devs can keep it so.
