At first I was having issues with the game. Building shaders took forever. After letting that happen I then had some Loading... screens. To top it off the initial load in to the game was also taking anywhere from 5-15 minutes each time.

Then I validated the files with steam, downloaded the updated today, let it rebuild the shaders for a second time, and all has been great. Loading in didn't take near as long today for some reason which was awesome. There is some micro stuttering throughout the game but nothing that drew me away from it.

The graphics and scenery look Amazing! I played the original game many times on PS3 and PS4, I also played this remake on the PS5 but I got it for PC as part of a promotion. I'm glad I did because it's gorgeous on here and I have a lot more freedom to put settings and framerate how I want.

The controls have been hit and miss. I started off with an 8bitdo controller and sometimes the camera would just stop or get stuck. I switched to using a wired Dualsense and haven't had anymore issues but it is something that should be sorted out.

After a rocky start I'm glad to say that the game has been working great, at least in my experience, and everything looks very good. That doesn't take away from the fact though that I did initially have issues and many others also are so for now I'd go into with an open mind and maybe just refund if you need too.
