I played a full game for the first time in about 3 years:
Yep, still fun

My only complaint about this game is what most survival games have; once you get to a certain point, it's just tedium.

Rimworld is one of those games where you just want to play an hour or two and the next thing you know it's 4 am

15 minutes into the nightmare of the spawning planet I die with a crusial quest item. Upon respawning, you lose everything in your inventory. After that, I was stuck and there was no way off the planet. This seems game breaking to me so I can't recommend this game with such a giant flaw right out of the gate.

It's a shame there isn't more overlap between gamers and people who like sports. Because baseball is the perfect bridge between those two worlds. It's incredibly nerdy and low key. Maybe you and your dad can have something in common if you play this game.

This game made me a better driver in real life.

The tedium will set in eventually. Even though I have no friends, this is still fun. From what I saw, co op is even better.

I should say my GTX 680 ran this just fine. You can tweak the graphics to a decent level. The details really do no bother me because it's about the gameplay for me and the gameplay is great.

Listen, I understand your frustration. The business model for this game kept me from getting it for a long time. The online-only aspect is also frustrating for some. But what matters to me is the gameplay and this feels like a Hitman game.

I get it, but I'm not feeling it. It captured 80s cheese well but why would you make a 1980s action-scifi spoof and then shoot it almost entirely in front of a green screen? A bit of a wasted opportunity if you ask me.
