Great game. Exactly what it looks like but with well balanced mechanics, good sound design, and a nice variety of classes and skills.

Finally, a game that says "I highly recommend playing with a mouse and keyboard"

Me too buddy, me too.

Incredibly fun if you want a laid back tower defense city builder auto battler.

I can sum up why I am not excited about this DLC in 4 words. "for Abyssal Realm only"

So many of the bonuses, items, and gear you can get from grinding in the Abyssal Realm says that. I can somewhat understand all the places where it says "for Melvor Realm only" because they wanted it to still be challenging even for endgame players, but compared to Atlas of Discovery the usefulness of the content is a major let down.

It would be like if everything you unlocked from Cartography and Archaeology only gave bonuses to Cartography and Archaeology. It's still new content you can explore but it starts to make you question why you're even doing it.

I'm taking the time to write this review because I want to make it clear why this DLC wasn't for me. I don't mind the grind. I don't mind paying to support development costs. I was hoping for power creep and huge bonuses. That's one of the reasons I love Ancient Relics mode so much. I got way farther, content wise, on my Ancient Relics character than I ever did with my original. I was hoping this DLC would be place where I could grind and get a huge power boost but so much of the bonuses seem to only benefit Abyssal content.

As others have mentioned, their decision to remove all of the Homework Radio songs and sign a deal with LoFi Girl is very disappointing.

There's a long list of reasons why this is a problem. I won't try to articulate them all since I think others did a good job doing that but there's the problems with:

Anti-trust and monopoly
The loss of "indie" status (even if they still have the heart and mindset of an indie studio)
The breach of trust that comes with removing titles that existed when the game was purchased

I hadn't even heard of LoFi Girl until now but this certainly gives me a negative view of them.

Don't be scared off by the fact that it's listed as only "Online PvP"

I almost didn't buy this game because that, but fortunately I'm glad I read the reviews and saw everyone explaining that it's actually an asymmetric auto battler. As you can see by the number of hours I've played, this game is really fun and the devs have done an amazing job with balancing and providing constant updates.

All the best parts of Monster Train but with more mechanics and lore. I'm really happy at how reasonably priced it is, and that they recently released Monster Train on Android.

inexpensive game, awesome devs. Very glad they released 8 player mode. Looking forward to more updates in the future.
