this game takes 10 min to load from the main menu, after that, I get a nice game in power point format at 1 fps, there's no branching story, game crashes, and even when you can play the girls are uninteresting, unworthy, etc. This whole experience is a good reminder of how not to live our lives, lets not waste our time on games or dating, on endless nights of anime or livestreams that attempt to soothe our existential anxiety, instead, let's grow, let's go to the gym, lets not care about women, sigma mentality stay strong bros

DISCLAIMER

I have FINISHED the game on my own with minimum spoilers.

My friend bought me this game and I thought it was interesting, the only reason I didn't end my suffering and give up on finishing it, was because my friends and acquaintances had REALLY good experiences with this game. Also it was a good overall learning experience as I am studying game development.

I'll start with what I liked about this game and explain why it didn't compensate all the bad stuff. The game started slow and I started having some fun in Timber Hearth just roasting some marshmallows and doing the tutorial. I liked the fact that I was free to explore, do random stuff and go anywhere from the beginning, it felt refreshing at various stages of the game to have that degree of freedom and I like setting my own goals which I could do here.

Everything was fine. Until I got to my ship... -_-

Learning how to move that sucker was hard at first, but eventually I managed to get to the attlerock, there I was already starting to get a little frustrated with the game's controls and the pacing wasn't picking up until I didn't master the controls, so there I sat crashing my ship again and again and struggling until I managed to get anywhere in one piece. Ok, I started visiting planets, learning and finding unexplained phenomena, at this point I was starting to get uninterested because I had to repeat so many time loops and left most areas uncompleted, simply because the design of some levels didn't feel engaging just like a piece of information I had to find, there was an inverted correlation between fun and learning, I always had the same problem, if I wasn't quick or skill ful enough I didn't get to solve the puzzle which meant I had to redo the puzzle, which meant i would give up on that planet and onto the next. What's the point of having a skill based puzzle, that, if I fail I just have to waist another 20 minutes in redoing. It didn't feel more rewarding when i did them first try or anything, I still don't get it, why are these puzzles so long sometimes and so tedious. If I'm playing dark souls and I die, OK i'm bad, but what if I'm playing Outer wilds and I die because i just missed or don't remember some info? That just didn't feel fun a lot of the time. I felt like I had to go outside the game to remember stuff, like i wanted to look on the internet 60% of everything and not play it myself. But I didn't do it because that would have ruined the experience. I will update my review as these are the main issues I had with this game in my experience and I am too lazy right now to talk about this in more detail.

Overall I am glad I played this game but I am not happy enough with it to give it a positive review, I wasn't expecting to die so many times in vane, and in the end it felt like a puzzle chore list, honestly it had good stuff and bad stuff but wasn't really for me.

Short and sweet, the story was a bit simple but enjoyed the levels and art :)
