Very fun PvE that reminds me of the good times in Destiny. Just get out there with your buddies, spill oil, and spread democracy

edit: lived long enough to become a villain

one of the better riichi mahjong experiences on steam. pretty decent tutorial and the AI is challenging but doesn't feel overwhelming.

It's Stellaris with Star Trek aesthetics. I enjoyed Stellaris, I enjoy Star Trek, so I enjoy this. It's not revolutionary by any means but it's up my alley and I enjoy it.

i played this game many times over as a kid and i'm glad that i can play it again. i'm not gonna pretend it's the best game ever made but i have a ton of nostalgia for it and i still enjoy the alt-history setting and gameplay. i think the squad system is still an easy and fun little mechanic and the interconnected nature of the different levels really helps you feel like you're taking back parts of the city piecemeal. as a kid, i was fascinated with the soviet aesthetic and greatly enjoyed the look of this game, and there is a moment in the story that was probably the first time a video game storyline legitimately shocked me.

all in all, i'm glad to revisit this. the game Homefront was sort of like a distant cousin to this but first person and much more like battlefield, so it didn't quite scratch the itch even though i enjoyed the multiplaer. i unfortunately bought that about two weeks before its servers shut down, and have been left wanting to revisit the "partisan conflict against an invading force" vibe without being too grim and gritty that Freedom Fighters offers, and the great Jesper Kyd soundtrack being included is just a nice touch.

Very fun, despite some minor issues I have with it. I hope we see more like this in the Battletech universe.

One day, I will be good at this day hopefully

i enjoy becoming engrossed in the lives of my hardy little colonists. even if i get frustrated with their decisions sometimes, i feel like my own planning is also to blame, and pushes me to do better.

I used to play the shareware copies of the Exile series as a kid in the late 90s/early 00s. I never understood what the hell I was doing or how to be any good at the game, but it reminded me of an RPG my dad showed me on our DOS computer in the mid 90s, so I always wanted to play it. i'm glad that they've released these versions as they allow me to relive those shareware days that I remember so fondly, and now that I'm older i recognize them for the wonderful RPGs that they are. the concept of exile as an escape from oppression also intrigued me as a young person that felt like I couldn't be myself in the state i lived in, and the underground setting always seemed so cool to me. all in all, i'm quite glad that Spiderweb is still around to pass games like these onto a new generation of players.

much more accessible than CK2, feels more narrative focused than the previous but maybe that's just me.
