Walking simulator, moving is slow and there isnt much action. It tries to be realistic with huge recoils and such, but it just spoils the fun.

The game is way too difficult with insta kill traps and very slow progression. You'll eventually learn and fall less into them, but having the whole run screwed because you slid down into some spikes is just not fun.

Ranged weapons are stupidly rare, your only option is to use melee which feels a bit unresponsive. Most items have hidden stats, so you have no idea what you're holding, until you equip it and notice the item is cursed and you cannot remove it till the end of the run. Controls feel bad designed, plays bad on a keyboard and average on a gamepad (there are 3 different attack buttons, but you won't need them anyway since you can basically only melee). There is a shop to buy items but the prices are so high that you can barely afford anything (apparently you're supposed to steal, but the shopkeeper will kill he notices anything).

It feels like the developer brainstormed about the most unpleasant game mechanics he could add to a game and merged them all into Vagante. On the bright side, next time I purchase a game I'll read the reviews instead of merely watching a short video.
