Games pretty good -- great movement, high skill ceiling
Servers are having issues but the player count went from 4k to 65k in like 3 days so I don't blame them
Having a blast, needs a little more content but ofc still in beta

REVIEW IS POST JAN-15 PATCH

I started playing this game the night of the patch and let me tell you, I had a great time with this game. The combat is great, the mechanics are great, and a lot of the old issues I could've looked past.

However, with this new patch, they stripped all of the story, removed Steam Marketplace, ruined the UI, removed the tutorial, unbalanced the game, and made the entire game basically behind a paywall.

I knew nothing about this when I started playing and was super confused on even how to play the game since the tutorial was removed. I went to the official Discord, Reddit, and a partnered Twitch streamer to see what was up with the game. Nothing. I finally got in contact with someone in the discord who basically explained that the developers killed the game with this patch and that every aspect of the game besides the mechanics had been ruined. I took offense to this, as I had fallen in love with this game simply because of the mechanics.

I hop into the official Discord to discuss this and the first thing I see is a message from a user who shows seemingly fake reviews, trying to combat the negative reviews for this game they've been getting since this patch. The "gamemaster"/moderator of the Discord then deletes the message and says they'd never do that. I then try to join a discussion about someone's offer of making private servers, even offering to contribute to them, and I am immediately banned.

This game has so much potential, yet the developers decided to immediately kill it off. This game could make a killing and would get me and so many other's full attention if it wasn't for this most recent patch. The cosmetics alone could even pay for the development because anime tiddies, but the developers decide to make the actual progression of the game locked behind a paywall, not to mention completely hurting the competitive side of this game. PvE also gives no rewards any more.

Poor game developers, who don't listen to their community. Worst of all they don't realize that they have such a great concept and base game already laid down and could structure this to be one of the best F2P games of all time. I would even pay for this game if these things were addressed. Listen to your community, KOG. Doing damage control won't solve anything. Acknowledge your mistake, apologize, and salvage what is left. Even if you say "hey we messed up, give us a couple months to fix it all up".

Godspeed
