This single experience hooked me into Foxhole;
It was during war 83 same day when i bought the game. It was nearing the end of that war I picked Colonial completely unaware they were on the back foot and deployed in Barronwalls, Heartlands. It was a intense battle, warden artillery shelled the relic base relentlessly as warden armor slowly advance forward while infantry swarm the trenches that we previously occupied. I was lost in the chaos, not having a clue or what was to come I simply toke my rifle and shot into the darkness hoping to hit a something until I hit a person which will be called Sgt "Dave", naturally he berated me for my "inadequate shooting" and "♥♥♥♥♥♥ mic". But soon toke me under his wing and mentored me on the basics of Foxhole as the wardens slowly approach.

During a firefight i was with Sgt Dave the Relic had been destroyed after the hundreds of shells that left nothing but ruin, our forces were made to retreat to the walled city of Blemish, as we entered the city gates we were told that we had to fortify the city, laying mines, setting up emplaced anti-tank guns, digging trenches and setting up walls of sandbags. As the building continues we talk about our pets, had majors screaming at us for building trenches and sometimes killed each other for slightly offending someones favorite choose of pizza toppings. It really formed a sense of comradely for us defenders and made me proud and happy to be working defending this city.

As the wardens forces advance to the city gates we patiently wait for there arrival in full confidences in our walled fortress. They came in full force, about a dozen tanks, hundreds of infantry and I was even told they using a storm cannons to shell us. It was a bloody back and forth for hours, we'd push them from the gates and a about 40-50 meters from it and they'd push us back into the city, as artillery rained on both sides. We fought like dogs that day, ever cover there be a collie with an ignfist waiting for the tanks to approach, streets would be covered with machine gun positions set up to create killzones for rushes the wardens were doing. Me and Sgt Dave at a sandbag wall trying to gun down any warden that passed the gates. It was fun.

Eventually we were pushed back to the Townhall, we fought for ever inch of ground till that point, body bags in the hundreds scattered the across the city, It was entirely impossible to get out of the Townhall without either dying to a warden bayonet or the 120mm shell that followed up. Sgt Dave had a plan to destroy atleast one of there tanks before the Townhall would go down but was unsuccessful with the amount of infantry covering there tanks. The group i was with decided to huddle up in the ruins of a house, equipped with nothing but a single clip and a bayonet Sgt Dave declared this would be our last stand against the warden menace. I toke down 3 wardens before being gun downed, soon the rest would follow each taking one warden with them and shouting profanities at them, if only cross-faction voice chat was enabled in that war it would had been hilarious. When the defense of blemish had been overran I logged out, that would be the last time I've ever see Sgt Dave or any of the comrades I've made in blemish.

3.6k In Foxhole I still think of that defense in 83, While I've had experience better and more coordinated defenses during my playtime nothing will ever stand-out as much as what happened in war 83 in Blemish.

But this game isn't perfect.
Foxhole's issues with exploits, faction in-fighting, lack of moderator and the many unsaid issues related to weapon or vehicle balances. The soul-crushing and tediousness of building and maintaining defenses, the time consuming nature of logistics & facility work and the frequent server instability. SiegeCamp needs to address this issues before adding even more content and adding more problems in the future. I am certain they are genuinely taking to make things better but I do not understand there vision for Foxhole. I can only wait and see have they have planned for Foxhole.

Even with all there flaws and imperfections Foxhole is just one of those games where i don't believe I'll be ever able to quit tills its very last war. I love this game, the community and the developers. Foxhole has provided a unique experiences and memorial memories that will possibly last my entire life which may sound a bit sad since its just another video game but even then this simple video game has been one of the best games I've ever purchase on this platform.

9/10 ~ apologies for my english, <3
