I haven't been this invested in a game since I first got into the Fallout series in 2009. I was skeptical at first since I usually don't like turn-based games or isometric camera perspectives, but I decided to give it a try anyway and I am glad I did. I fell in love instantly.

Before this, I had zero experience with D&D. I was worried that I wouldn't understand a lot of what was going on (lore and game mechanics) but it was super easy to pick up on. I have really enjoyed the story, the relationships, and everything in between. I am about 214 hours in and I am still coming across events and dialogue that I have never seen before. So far, I have only played as custom characters and, currently, The Dark Urge, but I look forward to doing playthroughs with each of the Origin characters.

My next custom character is a green Barbarian Dwarf named Shrekels. He's a raging (literally) alcoholic who runs around Faerûn drunk and in the nude. Yeah, he *could* use axes and hammers in battle, but he prefers to throw goblins and firewine barrels. Sure, there's a parasitic tadpole in his head, but all he *truly* wants is to find the nearest tavern. He meets Lae'zel and quickly falls in love and will do whatever it takes to impress her. I have yet to side with the Gith, so we'll see how that goes, lol.

The possibilities are endless. This game is fantastic and I will continue to play it for a long time.

Almost 9 years later, if you still haven't played FO4, get with the program. Just do it. I own this game and the DLC on Xbox, Playstation, and PC. I still haven't gotten tired of it, even if it isn't my favorite out of the series (NV ftw).

But, honestly, a good chunk of my PC playtime has been spent troubleshooting 400-800 mod builds (depending on the mod profile I want to play). I regret nothing.

I will continue to play FO4 until the release of FO5... or until we get nuked. Whichever one happens first.

After reading the reviews, I told myself I wasn't going to cry.

I cried.

The story had a good amount of twists and the endings were often not what I thought they would be. Yes, the individual routes are short, but they are still good. The artwork is beautiful, and you can feel the emotion in the voice acting. I was on the fence about purchasing this, but I am glad I did.

This is what Pokemon Scarlet and Violet should have been.

The artwork is beautiful, the soundtrack is wonderful, and the dialogue is fantastic. There's a Danganronpa reference, and the gameplay reminds me a bit of Mystic Messenger. 10/10.

I don't usually leave reviews, but this game deserves it. I got this game 3 or so days ago and have 17 hours at the time of this review. I am a full-time college student who also works full-time, so my downtime is pretty much thrown at this game, lol. I got it because it was free and because of all the other positive reviews. I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I do, since dating sims aren't usually my thing (except Mystic Messenger, but this isn't about that).

I went ahead and bought the DLC at the suggestion of another review. I am SO glad I did. It took over 8 hours of playtime to get through my first playthrough, up until the wedding DLC. I was up in my feels, so I saved it for later, lol. Instead of finishing the story for good, I started a second playthrough with a different approach.

I was already impressed by the writing, the concept, and the characters during my first playthrough, but for my second, I'm seeing scenes that I didn't see before, just based on making different choices. Cove also reacts differently to scenes I've been through before. "Our Life" makes me think of those "Choose Your Own Adventure" books I read as a kid, which were my favorite. I just love how all your choices in this game not only change the outcome of the story, but also are brought up throughout the story. For instance, when you first start, Cove points to the drawings on your wall and says they're neat. I said "Thanks, I made those" and he mentioned them at the end of the game, asking if I still had those drawings somewhere in storage.

If you like creating your own story, getting all up in your feels, and replaying games for different outcomes, "Our Life" is for you. I will say, I may be biased because I can see a lot of my own relationship in this story, given we were childhood friends who ended up together after a decade and having the same "OMG FINALLY" response from everyone, lol. BUT, I digress. For being a free game, it is absolutely fantastic and I 100% recommend it.

Story: 10/10
Replay Value: 10/10
Music: 10/10
Art: 10/10
Price: 10/10
Emotions: 10/10

You're a goat. Sometimes a giraffe. You harass people and destroy things. Occasionally you fly through the sky. What more could you want?
