Wow!

You can get hints on the best moves from your character, it will use energy and when you are fighting a tournament with much higher elo players than yourself, you really have to manage when to use them. The hints are also based on your characters skill level and might not always be the actual best moves. Such a creative way to use the computer engine to make a fun and entertaining game for all skill levels.

I love simulation games, rags to riches, and even with fairly limited amount of content outside of the chess, I am having a blast building up my ELO and chasing that first chess title.

I am really looking forward to see how this game evolves. It is already worth it if you want to have a stress free and entertaining environment to improve your chess skills in.

Few things that feels the most important to add at this early stage:
  • Better tournament filtering. Being able to sort based on what you can afford to attend. Being able to sort away tournaments you are not high elo enough to attend.
  • Being able to open the calendar and move around between the months. A better way to see all future registered tournaments.
  • Character profile information is hidden away in the monthly tactics training/skill point distribution. Such as world ranking, country ranking.
  • MacOs and Linux support!

UnReal World is a game that delivers a feeling like no other game. Don't let the first impression of the visuals fool you, after a few hours of gameplay every pixel will feel immersive.

Being on the brink of starvation, lost in the wilderness, trying to track an animal you have followed for a long while, and then finally seeing it and having the opportunity to take it down. No other game has come close to that thrill. Red Dead Redemption 2 with is beautiful visuals doesn't even come close to scratching that feeling.

Stumbling upon hostile people and doing everything to get away with your life intact, it is actually crazy how exciting and scary this game manages to make those situations.

And it is still actively being worked on after all these years.

So if you are a fan of hardcore survival games, give this game a chance. In some ways it really is a masterpiece and it deserves way more than just a 1000 reviews.
