Great game, very easy to get into and a nice difficulty curve. Climbing towers and liberating camps is great fun, never mind the actual story part.

Lovely looking game, but a few fatal flaws. It's incredibly simple to get into a situation where you aren't earning enough money to build an important structure that would let you progress. You can't borrow money until you've built certain structures, but then you can't build them because your city just isn't earning enough. Because you can't "sell" buildings, there is no way to recover from this, and they city is left utterly stagnant.

Trying to start a city and have it suddenly make enough money so you can move on is incredibly frustrating, I've had to abandon several cities and start again.

Even early on, if you run out of resources, you're stuffed before you even get going. You can't abort some construction to allow another one to continue, those resources are gone.

It seems like with a few minor tweaks it would probably be fine, but as it is, it's just to hard to see into the future an know that building X or Y is going to lock you into a situation where you can't afford to build anything, and aren't making enough to finish construction.

On top of that, there's no real help getting things like "unemployment" down, when it's also a drain on the city, even though most businesses are only half full. why? With jobs across the whole board, I appeared to be paying half the people to be unemployed, and there are no hints on getting out of that.

For the moment, I couldn't recommend this to anyone, but I'm fairly sure even a simple "loan" system before you have built the required buildings would help you out, and get you past the game ending block it has just now.....
