One of the my favorites pastimes as a child was to become one with the road--the blood veins of America. And my late father wanted to be a trucker to drive across the country to deliver goods to many clients, since he's a CDL driver who worked for the county roads department for the State of Iowa. Sadly, he passed before he could get the chance to drive one.

But that was 2008.

Now, in 2024, I can experience what my father couldn't in his lifetime and truck across America...and more, thanks to the robust of mods, customization, and skins that I can add into the game from the workshop and beyond. Heck, I even made a skin for my Freightliner Cascadia to breeze though the terrains while showing off your design. Want to add in your radio stations and mp3s to listen to? This game lets you do that via tutorials the community shares.

The community is very nice and welcome,

Oh, and before I forget, I wear a Meta Quest 3, and playing this in VR, which is also available via game's beta setting--and yes, I had to tweak the Oculus settings and play it in Virtual Desktop--along with the HORI Truck Control System on the Next Level Racing 2.0, you can fully immerse yourself driving the highways...but that's my preference.

I got all the DLCS of each state, heavy hauls, and so much more, with more state DLCs--Iowa, Missouri, and Louisiana (as of this review posting)--being wishlisted, ready for drive through more as they come...and they're coming fast.

I'd like to thank SCS for making this and Euro Truck Simulator 2, which I also own, so I can drive and experience what truck driving is like, in this game that throws all that negativity out the window for a chill game that the only bosses are the weather and traffic, while living the life that my father wanted before his passing.

P.S. I wish for a collab with Kwik Trip/Kwik Star truck stops for Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin DLCs; not just the gas station to fill up, but also an add-on job to deliver fuel to gas stations. Just something to think about.

2K has lost it's dignity with the community as a whole.

The ban on WhatsTheStatus was a slap to the face of the modding community. Not only was he a martyr of the creation suite, but an inspiration for many, updating characters, making things that 2K couldn't do. And his ban was because he broke their TOS, because he impacted "negatively" to the gameplay?

I'd love to see where he "negatively" impacted gameplay.

Besides Status' ban, they barely fix anything, including their servers, and have pr0n pics in their CC, which they didn't address at any point.

Their lack of commitment to the game leaves everyone up in arms over their seriousness to the WWE games, as of late...not just the modding community.

This serves as a warning to all that if 2K want to play hardball with people who want to mod for their personal experience and to ban someone for making things better via mods, but do nothing in regards to nude photos in a T-rated game, then they lost respect with everyone entirely.

I've been modding this game for a while now.

And with the recent patch, 2K thought it's best to block modding entirely...and from what others have been saying, this patch broke the game entirely by adding some DRM BS.

Their recent patch is anti-consumer for those who enjoy customizing their games.

What's the point, if they're going to give PC players the shaft and not allow any kind of modding on their game, when other games have?

Join me and review-bomb this game until 2K gets the hint that blocking modding is a terrible idea.

"We bought the game, so it's ours to customize...not YOURS, 2K!"

2K pumped the breaks on the modding scene, after the latest patch. The modding community have kept 2K19 lasting a very long time, and that was when Yuke's was still handling it. Now, with 2K in full control, they're pumping the breaks on modding their games to a full stop. Heck, you even mention the word "mod" in 2K's forums, you get a warning...so that was a clear-cut sign of what 2K is doing.

I love to mod games to my custom needs, and 2K needs to acknowledge that. Many of the mods I downloaded were free and doesn't effect online in any form. It was proven in 2K19.

I hope that 2K would find it in their hearts to reconsider and reinstate modding, with full-support.

Early Access Review
It's a neat and small--excuse for the pun--game, where size comes into play, for the most part. The first level is a tutorial, where you learn the mechanics and devices for when you need them later on. The shrink ray is the main star of the game, where you can shrink yourself or guards. But, if you shrink the guards, they'll run to the nearest guard and inform them of your arrival, so you need to dispose them properly. So, dumping them in the filthy prison of the trash bin will make you a good person, instead of throwing them into the shredder or killing them. There are even moments where you can use other gadgets. I've personally used the shrink ray and the teleporter the most, while the banana is used in one level, to get a key. Hardly used the air bag mines, and brezzed past one level in under a minute, giving me the SSS rank!

The dialogue is sometimes cheesy and pun-intended, with numerous 4th-wall-breaking moments. And yes, when Audrey mentions "nerd" in the game, the word was originated in a Dr. Seuss book in the 1950s, so don't start.

Anyways, the levels get harder while you play, but the last 2 levels have a time limit. The first of the 2 can get pretty quickly with the teleporter, but the other...oh boy, the climbing. By the time you get up there, you'd only have at least 1 minute to get the parts to save the world...or divert it to another town, giving you alternate endings. YEP, the last level is where the multiple endings occur, so be ready to repeat the same level 3 more times, to get every ending.

I just wish, when you are shrunk, that the bananas are banana peels don't grow back to normal size, when you place them. If the guard steps on the banana peel, which was shrunk with her, it wouldn't effect him at all. Same with the air bag mines: if the guard steps on one, it would spook them a bit, and look down to see what was that, making it more of a distraction device.

I personally enjoyed this game, regardless. Since this is Early Access, there's always room for improvement to make it better than it is.

Thanks to Catland for making this, and look forward to improvements and upcoming events. :D
