While I personally had a few issues with performance, which required a slight fix (v-sync and disabling something in the settings), beyond that I have very little to complain about with this game. The story is phenominal, and the music is an absolute delight. Screeching violins in horror has turned into a cliché, yet this game gave me goosebumps regardless as rats poured out of the walls to nibble on my moist flesh, or the low tones of a cello as you make your way through a seemingly abandoned town, or perhaps simply one where the residents, afraid of the plague, refuse to open their doors for you.

All in all, an absolute delight of a game to play. I can highly recommend it.

I can't believe this won an award for writing. The only thing this has going for it is the gameplay, which can genuinely be fun. The amount of times I've died to unresponsive controls is ridiculous though.

I absolutely love this game to bits, especially now that AMD has fixed the crashing issues RX cards were having. The story is phenominal and genuinely gripping, the music is absolutely stellar, the gameplay simple yet fun.

Beautiful game with an amazing sound track, and good gameplay as well. I highly recommend it

It's like someone took Civ V, made a total mod overhaul, and put it in space.
Might as well play Civ V instead.

Solid but basic game. Starts out fun and stays fun, although it can get tedious if played for too long at a time. The gameplay doesn't suit long sessions very well.
The story is likewise basic but serves the game quite well.

Amazing storyline and a decent amount of freedom in dialogue choices, with decent consequences, although weak late in the game.
Don't forget to download the unofficial patch, or you will most likely get stuck in some kind of bug.

The inventory management and the menus in general are a bit clunky and the voice actors are the lovely kind of low-budget "who was around in the office" vibe..

The gameplay and the story, however, are amazing. I keep coming back to this game again and again and again.

Not too amazed by the pure random aspect of the outcome of some events, but aside from that it's a great game, unless the RNG god decides you've sinned, in which case you will crash and burn multiple times.
Great rogue-like-like for jumping in and out off, without requiring the dedication and the amount of learning required for true rogue-likes.
