Conversationally I might recommend this game to some one, but overall this game feels like it was done over the course of a weekend in a game jam. There are very noticable UX issues that could be fixed pretty easily that the developer chose not to - add sounds, slight movement, or a changing cursor for things that can be selected, spending your entire time clicking every single thing in a room does not make for a good game. 13 ways to end this when you have 20 blocks is also lazy - remove the extra blocks. A lot of this game just feels lazy and uncomplete. It's fun to spend a half hour or so, but it loses it's luster pretty quickly.. Also Spoiler: Having one of your achievements be to afk for 10 minutes is terrible game design, and again, extremely lazy. I think if the dev listened to complaints and spent another weekend cleaning this up, I could probably change my mind, but for now I likely wouldn't recommend paying money for this.

I don't review often - of the countless games I have, I honestly don't know that I ever have - but in this case, I have to.

This game is hauntingly beautiful. I shut off the lights and put on a good pair of headphones, and for a short while Emily allowed me to see the world through her eyes. She perfectly encapsulates anxiety, sadness and hopelessness in this short experience. I think it's important that people see the bad for what it is, because without it there is no good. If you're on the fence, just buy the game. Don't look forward to a happy-go-lucky experience like most games, because that isn't what this is. This is something that you experience, and hopefully come out the other side, reflectively, for the better.

Thanks for making this Emily, and I wish you all the success in the world in game development, and in your future.
