Great story, graphics, and huge hordes! Upgrading your bike and shooting freakers in the head with a crossbow, or just whipping out a big boi MG and not giving a care who hears.

Highly recommended and interesting take on the apocalypse. Didn't have any issues with stability.

If you like open world games you will not be disappointed

You will die - but that's OK. Every brutal life lived teaches you more and more what is necessary to survive. This game is more detailed in its survival systems than pretty much any other game I have played. This game will be daunting at first but there are many different difficulty settings and custom sandbox modes that let you recreate the zombie apocalypse of your dreams (read: nightmares!!). Do you like the classic, slow walking zombies or do you want to see how long you could last in the world of 28 Days Later? Do you want to live as an apocalyptic nomad, bouncing from place to place while foraging and looting whatever scraps are left? Or do you prefer to find a location to build up with barriers and start farming and fishing?

Your character can be customized with positive and negative traits that balance one another and make your survivor more like a real person (maybe your survivor is terrified of the indoors but also thrives in terrible weather conditions. Maybe they are a veteran and already know how to use firearms, and more importantly they are already numb to the many brutal horrors of the world).

Eventually modern infrastructure will fail and you'll have to learn to survive without electricity or running water. There is a robust cooking and crafting system, an intricate health and body protection system.

This game is the closest you will come to living in the world of The Walking Dead and it will challenge you tremendously (if you want it to). Just don't feel disheartened if your first couple of characters hardly last a few days, if you stick with it (or make use of the wiki), you will become truly connected to your survivor and immersed in another reality.

Also eventually there will be multiplayer for the current build which should provide tons of fun for you and your friends.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a challenging but rewarding zombie apocalypse simulator!
