Great game. Not sure whether the people complaining about optimisation just got unlucky with drivers or an early unpatched version, but it runs fine for me on a modern budget rig.

It's ok.

Abolutely brilliant. Totally brutal, open world where your choices have absolutely uncontrived consequences. Really feels like I'm a scavenger running round in mad max - sans vehicles. Incredibly refreshing after the mainstream direction (previously) rpg games like fallout have taken.

Gave it a negative review back in the day because of poor optimisation. Came back in 2021 and enjoying it

Played a couple hours. It's ok, I guess

As both an avid rider and gamer I was stoked to see a mountainbike game appearing on steam.

I immediately bought it, hoping it was executed properly and felt like more than a mobile game ported badly into PC. Sadly, it didn't.

Upon opening the game, you find two options - "choose a level" and "shop."

Firstly, I went into "shop" where it appeared there was no currency, 6 items of clothing to choose from (which I couldn't see anyway while playing the game) and about 5 different frames, all of which were 1 brand, with numerous spelling and grammar errors in the descriptions. It was also unclear whether the different bikes, ranging from enduro through freeride to downhill, would actually handle any differently.

After trying desperately to find out whether it was actually possible to buy anything in the shop, I decided to actually play the game. After clicking "choose track" I was met with a screen of numbers. I clicked on "1." Then I clicked on it again. And again. And again. After about a minute, during which there was no load bar, beachball of death, or other means of telling me the map was loading, I found myself at the top of a track made of early 2000s graphics, prompted with a brief note on the controls, and set into action. There was no sound, the bike handled weirdly, the track looked like a 2 pixel pavement, and I was forced to quickly close the game and ask steam for a refund.

If you're a fellow rider looking for a game to play, I suggest MX vs ATV reflex, also available on steam, or real life.

TL;DR: I wouldn't play it if it was free, let alone pay for it.

I used to absolutely love this game. The satisfaction of allowing a stronger player to think you've been beaten before luring him into a pungi ridden caltrop snare trap of death was fantastic. HOWEVER, THE GAME HAS BEEN UTTERLY RUINED by groups of people deliberately joining the free for all mode at the same time on the Oceania Servers and forming groups of 2,3,4 and even 5 people. Even the most skilled player with the best weapons stands 0% chance against 5 guys. This game isn't COD, kills don't happen in 1/2 second, so it is impossible to survive against people using this tactic. IF YOU'VE HEARD ABOUT THIS GAME FROM FRIENDS/ GENERAL HYPE, IGNORE IT. THE GLORY DAYS OF THE CULLING ARE OVER AND IT'S CURRENTLY UNPLAYABLE. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

EDIT: Changed to a positive review as the issue seems to have been resolved and single player is once again winnable.

Got in a 2 minute fight with a guy, chased down an archer then got my face punched off. 10/10 would get drowned in burning oil again
