The best Dark Souls game in my opinion.

Pros:
-Great tutorial boss
-Dexterity, strength, and quality builds are all viable melee builds so just about any weapon can work
-Bosses have some of the coolest looking design i've seen from the series.
-MOST attacks are well telegraphed and reward a player who pays attention.
-The main path of the game has good difficulty progression while still allowing for access to endgame areas earlier into the game given a skilled enough player.
-Good variety of pyromancies, sorceries, and miracles to choose from
-The general gameplay idea while simple, is still very rewarding to beat a hard boss. I wish I could play through dark souls III for the first time again.
-A lot of bosses, and none of them feel similar to each other, each fight is a new experience.
-Ringed City is a really good DLC, with bosses that serve as a victory lap for fromsoft where they show just how good they can make a boss fight.

Cons:
-Strength builds are too good, pick a strength build and go for an ultra greatsword or greataxe and the game is on easy mode.
-Weapon upgrade materials are spaced very poorly, being spaced well in the early game, and then extremely poorly in the mid and late game, where you can go several hours without finding any, and then stumble upon one area where you can get enough for the rest of the game.
-Miracle builds are absolutely garbage for PvE because of how late into the game you get the good damaging miracles. Despite this, nearly every boss is weak to lightning. But what are you going to hit them with?
-Keyboard controls are not explained at all, you have to figure it out. (q is b, e is a, r is x, f is y)
-Too many gimmick fights among an otherwise good boss list.
-Not enough bosses can be parried, and sometimes if they can be parried they cannot be hit with a critical attack, and you just have to wack them normally. Learning parrying timings can feel unrewarding because of this.
-Ashes of Ariandel is honestly a terrible DLC.

While there are a lot of cons listed, most of these are small parts of a very large game. While I do wish miracle builds were better, and other builds were more viable, this game is amazing. I would recommend anybody who wants to play a hard game buy it immediately, I have played through and beaten this game somewhere close to 50 times by now, and each time was great. I've raced my friends to see who can get farther into the game quicker, I've tried stupid meme builds that involve killing one of the last bosses in the game as one of my first, I've dressed up as a black knight and beat gundyr senseless with a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ big sword. This game is great.

TLDR: 9/10, buy it if you want a hard game. the game is hard, but rewarding once you understand it.

If you like to beat the everliving ♥♥♥♥ out of things, then you can do it both virtually and in real life. I have punched 2 chairs, my pc, the chandelier, and a coat rack, and almost broke my controller within a week of having this game.

10/10 would reccomend
