As a huge fan of RO2, this is a worthy next gen heir.

Best ww2 grand strategy of the current times. DLC policy is invasive, and the biggest drawback to getting into the game. However, it is not as critical as with Europa Universalis 4 or CK2.
DLCs greatly shape the multiplayer meta, for example, Man the Guns DLC makes Naval Warfare a completely different beast.

GOTY 2018

Many hours have passed and I still have the same if not more adoration for this game. I wholeheartedly believe this is GOTY 2018, and is one of the best games I've had the pleasure of playing in my life. Crytek, hats off to you. Not only do they listen to the community but they also have a transparent and efficient method of developing this project. The community, although small, is one of the best I've had the gift of being part of in recent memory. I've helped new people get better and improve at the game and did so while enjoying the play time fully, as bad as they were. Because this game deserves it. This game is such a breath of fresh air in the market, it features so many little things that are enjoyable, with elements of stealth, PvPvE, and super satisfying shooting. It favours a methodical and pragmatic hunting of a bounty, which if you have the guts for it, transfers to hunting other players going after the bounty. The game is quite unforgiving for dumb mistakes and will have no problem punishing you for it.
