The Homeworld games were a big part of my childhood, this sequel is massively disappointing.
The story is terrible, and the mechanics are massively dumbed down to the point that strategy becomes non-existent.

At least the graphics and music are nice, I feel for those staff at BBI who actually put some love into this, for the story to then turn out like that..

Not worth buying at the moment, or ever probably!
Gameplay is very basic, monster chases you and you literally just run around square as ♥♥♥♥ maps trying to get to a safe house while the monster runs slightly faster than you.
Audio implementation is pretty atrocious, multiple sounds are way too loud to the point they clip and sound like garbage.
FPS is really low on an RTX 2070 Super, 30fps on anything other than lowest settings, and on lowest settings it still dips below 60fps regularly.
Probably only has good reviews because of bots : )

Don't buy it. Dead game, bad tournaments, rife with speed and landing bugs, terrible UI, no competitivity, seems to throw away everything they got right in the previous games. Go for TM2 instead, the multiplayer scene is much more active and actually has decent players to give you a challenge. Additionally, Lagoon will eventually come to TM2, and hopefully will be free of bugs by that point.
