Heretics Fork is an interesting title, but I won't classify it as the generic roguelike deckbuilder;

You are drawn cards in every X seconds intervals and the time stops while you have your cards at hand, you have mana and you build or upgrade stuff (which will be always located in the middle of the screen) and wait until it's the time for the next draw interval. The game starts out as a roguelike deckbuilder, it has it's difficulty but it's neat, both the visual and audio design in the game are pretty decent, so Heretics Fork does a good job with most of the things it's doing, except for;

End-game.
Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the late game, it's still subjective but for my sake, I would like to keep the game the way it was, in the same genre, but it fleshes out to something different the more you progress in it's meta-progression:
Basically this game has a lot of card unlocks, and in the end it allows you to equip so many different kind of winning styles, except for; "rng"
Sadly this doesn't pair well in Heretics Fork, because you are limited by only a few choices of card rewards in your entire pool, and mixed with you having way too many different card possibilities which sadly do not synergy with another, you are mostly left to the fate, essentially turning this into a casino roll, the fun and the creative aspect of the game dies with it and it becomes a "side-screen" game where you check and click based on the randomness time to time, and the most-time being spent on the "waiting" until next draw makes it even worse since your experience is no longer favored "as much" as it used to be, thanks to the crazy amount of unlocked card pool.

The game offers a lot of challenges, again, they are easier to do on low level and very difficult (rng, not actual difficulty) on late game.

It's still not a bad game per se since fun is subjective at it's best, but I wish it stayed the way it started out as, so do be warned before picking it up

It's like a lite Dome Keeper, kind of adventure / storydriven style
While it's technically a very short game (maybe an hour of base game and another hour for the DLC), the meta-progression grind stretches the game further, giving you something that'll last probably around 10~30 hours depending on your performance
It's an okay side-game to boot up from time to time, but unfortunately it gets repetitive shortly enough but it's a fair deal for it's low price

Narita is an alright Metroidvania, it lacks the complexity of the generic Metroidvania games but instead presents you one of the most unique graphical designs. It's a short and a fast game with low-time spent on backtracking compared to other titles. Despite it's charming and unique design (which is probably the strongest point of the game) it somewhat misses the delivery part on it's somewhat long"er" story telling, while there are moments or bits of the story that are exciting, these are mostly made stale at the later stages of the game due to the fact the game throwing you bunch of very long text bubbles that are kept long for the sake of having lots of text, at least it felt that way for me.

Action bit is alright, it's nothing extremely unique but it does play well, and even after having combat unlocks the combat remains easy to understand and utilize, which isn't a universally bad thing I suppose

If you are a gamer that strives to hardcore games, then expect a one-sitting quick game from Narita

I know my text mostly mentions of it's possible cons, because like I've mentioned the stronger point here is the graphical design and you can easily browse it in it's storage page, I still think it's a worth a play

I don't like it as a game, but I like it for what it delivers, it's a well acknowledged title by now and I don't intend to anger people, but gameplay-wise, Gris is a failure for me, I didn't feel any game whilst walking around, and while I do not prefer walking-sim games, I still play them time to time and I usually am happy with what was given in those that I tried, but not in Gris because Gris feels barebones as a "video game", the active time where you'll be interacting, or solving things, or even jumping will make up maybe 1/5 of the whole game while the rest being a walking around exploring and sightseeing places that all use the same or similar props but different background images.

I'm aware and also very much liking the artistic touch Gris gives, but at the same time I do believe that it's not enough to justify the lack of gameplay being in it.
As for the music and the exciting moments where you are represented some special visual, a swift story telling by broad actions, those were flawless and am a fan of them.

Overall, I think everyone should still give Gris a shot because maybe it was just me expecting more than the average consumer and that the likes differ people to people, and even with this, if I disregard my bias for the lack of "game", then sure Gris is 10/10 even for me

I'm not "suggesting" it, I'm rather in the middle with it

Being an adorer of roguelike deckbuilders, I tend to pick up any game I find on the store, Deepest Chamber was one of those games in the genre that I know I won't be remembering in the future but nevertheless was an okay game.

The unique catch in this one is that you have 3 characters and they all get their cards, they can be stunned (unavailable to draw "their" cards) and every (almost) card can evolve for one use each time you play a card next to it, this is all about the unique aspects of Deepest Chamber in the genre

But the card pool being relatively small and each character possessing only one major strength (some have more but it's rare) gives you a more linear game than a complicated one. The 3D view is a nice change for the generic pace (similar to Neoverse except you don't see your characters) and that's all there is to it
Probably best to get in on a discount and only if you are a fan of the genre, otherwise I don't really see Deepest Chamber making you play it more than just few hours

As for achievements
It's downright horrible I'm sorry, it's just one of those games that decided to give you achievements that are locked behind thousands if not millions of possibility's RNG, and the worst part is, one of those are at the very end of the game, meaning you'll be needing to complete runs in success to see if you were lucky enough to get X boss to use your X ability on them to collect potentially your last achievement, if not for this, my playtime would be around half of what it is now

It's a newly fleshing out in-the-development deckbuilder roguelike, based on dice rolls rather than "cards" and often having much shorter runs in comparison to it's similar titles. While it's interesting for couple of hours, it may feel stale and repetitive in the long run, but the development behind it is actively developing the game with the aim to flesh it out furthermore, my review is likely to change the more patches it receives

It's a very well polished action-adventure game that has clear inspirations taken from the famous Medievil from Playstation 1, it's full of humor and non-stop action at all times, that being said, it's a simplistic title, so you don't have any RPG progression, only that you unlock some weapons that alter the way you fight. Pumpkin Jack is a mixture of both platforming and button-masher combat game where you try to beat the objective your boss (devil) has given to you, the game lasts roughly around 3 to 7 hours in total to beat it, add in maybe half an hour to find the missing collectibles to unlock all the cosmetic costumes, but on a discount, it's a steal to pick it because not only the simplistic and relaxing gameplay, the visuals are up to Triple A quality (subjective take, you may check few videos of it)
Oh and, extra points for too many touches that remind of Medievil from Playstation 1

So far... What do you have here is essentially a metroidvania game that's in 3D.
I'll go ahead and confess that I play games with the goal of 100%ing them so usually I'm biased towards to overall game pacing and difficulty, Blue Fire felt like two faces of a coin together in that sense, which I think is a good trait for a video game.

Here's your jumpy cute chibi cartoony looking character with simplistic environment, you are given a small region that later interconnects with it's individual parts, just like Dark Souls games, while the game has a strong Dark Souls feel, it's solely for it's atmosphere rather than it's gameplay, so don't go expecting a souls-like in Blue Fire.

As for it's gameplay:
There is combat and there is platforming, the platforming is about most of the part of the whole game, while you still have regular and "epic" fights here and there and obviously you have grand boss battles that are more than well-done enough for a game that wasn't meant to be focused on it's fighting. Gear progression is linear, there are no stat distribution, you equip whatever has more numbers on them, progress is very convenient, simple, aka streamlined. You travel the region and talk with different NPC, get goofy lore bits off of them, obtain key items that unlocks the passage of another area, pretty much in the usual metroidvania sense. Although the story is nothing impressive, I'd easily say the game has a story for the sake of having a story, by no means it's bad, it's just there so that you have a surface level story that goes along with the game's atmosphere.

There's also a side content which was almost flawless as a supplement for me that complimented the nature of the game quite well; you have access points spread out in the regions, upon interacting with them you are sent on a different small dimension where you have nothing but platforming, while most of them felt like a walk in the park, there were 2 levels of it that had me restarting a few times until I could beat them. These side content are not really mandatory to progress in the game, you could simply ignore them, but completing them with success grants you increase on your maximum health points and completing every one of those finally awards you the best looking outfit in the game (solely cosmetic), but take my review with a grain of salt because everyone's pacing with platformers may differ greatly and I can see these mini-levels being too notoriously frustrating for some people.

All in all, the game is well polished, has an okay-good sounding music and audio, a little short lifespan (excluding the DLC) and most importantly, very accurate response on both movement and jumps (which I believe is the crucial in the making of a platformer game)

(Achievement Hunters, check below)

Black Skylands is an open-world, story driven top-down shooting game where you repeat the same gameloop of liberating islands and moving to the next. While the idea itself is alright it quickly gets repetitive, there is progression through upgrading the weapons in your arsenal as well as your ship(s). It's a relaxed game and can be finished in a day or two if played slowly. It has nothing great to offer but at the same time it's not boring whatsoever

Achievements

Tons of "find X" kind of requirements without indicators, aside from this, there is a bug, before the last mission the game informs you that this is point of no return, but you'll be returned back to where you were just before starting to this mission after you finish the game, this disclaimer is lying, there are chore collecting items to complete the achievements and you'll not be returned back to the same spot you were just before starting the last mission and you'll be sent further back, in the saves folder you have back ups, the developer has a ReadMe file in it on how to utilize them, although do not as I feel it is outdated and forgotten, using the back up slots bricks your game (not the save, the game) and you'll be unable to make it work again despite uninstall / reinstall / remove save folders, just as a heads up so you don't bang your head on the walls, finish the collectibles first then commerce the last mission
