Great controls. Amazing puns. Solid gameplay. Lots of side quests, dungeons, and items. Adorable graphics. Only bugs encountered were related to achievements unlocking early. Buy this game.

Long version
I finished beating this game last night and I was shocked to see my total time played was so low. It had felt like I put at least twice the amount of time into this game because of how much content there was with all of the side quests and dungeons. So while you might see the time it takes to 100% a first playthrough (to say nothing of new game+/"mew" game or 100% achievements) as a little low, the game is packed with enough content that it never feels slow. It wasn't until around level 70 that I started I needed to grind in order to complete the last few dungeons. And that was only because I had completed all but one side quest and couldn't level up that way anymore.

This game is adorable. That's pretty obvious from the screenshots and videos on the store page. But what really made it stand out for me was the sheer number of puns in this game. There are a few that will make you groan, but there are also a lot of high quality puns too. Even outside of the puns, there is a very good comedic element to this game where it sometimes subverts expectations for a laugh. The music in the game is also upbeat and lighthearted too keeping with the overall aesthetic.

Playing the game is not complicated. You have a dodge roll, a melee attack, and several spells. Your equipment is just a weapon, helmet, and armor. But for such a basic setup, the game plays great. I think the only times I complained about controls during my playthrough weren't from my input being dropped or eaten but instead from ending up just a pixel or two within an enemy's attack range. All enemies have a visible indicator for where and when their attacks will land. This keeps the game accessible for more casual players but if you want to make it more of a challenge, you can always forego armor and/or a helmet. There are also difficulty modifiers for "mew" games to enable stronger enemies, forcing you to stay level 1, only being allowed to use the starting equipment, and/or only being given 9 lives to beat the game. However, those are only available after completing the game once before.

The only bug/glitch I observed while playing weren't related to gameplay in any aspect. The bug simply gave me the side quest achievement too early. It sounds like these achievement bugs are a known issue with the developer. Thankfully the impact to the game is nonexistent. I originally held off on getting this game because I didn't know if I wanted it on Steam or on the Switch. I decided to get the game when it was on sale because the price was too good. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and strongly recommend it.
