Best competitive shooter I have played in years, and it's free! Pay for loot or grind hardcore but enjoyable nonetheless.

Intense, enjoyable game.
The many play-styles of this game are its strong point, stealth, tanking, a combination, assassination, going undetected and going non-lethal are all awesome ways to play, and are encouraged through the achievements, which require at least two or three playthroughs to get them all. The art is qwerky yet not too cartoonish, music is awesome and the setting of a steampunky decaying city on the coast feels so comfortable.
With the introduction of supernatural powers to the physical elements the game just broadens as a whole, with the different powers and upgrades, as well as managing your money on upgrades for your sword, body and crossbow the game can be enjoyed by absolutely anyone.
The general feel of the game from the art, setting, music and sound makes the game contantly intense, I love it.

Ha, I'm a bit late with this one.
This is the first game in the AC series I've ever had, and with just about 5 hours of gameplay I'm enjoying it immensely. Graphics are very impressive considering it's a 2009 release, and doen't make my system struggle at all even though being a port. The historical effort put into this game shines through - Story outweighs other factors quite a lot. :)
Only negative point is that the head, fists, leg etcetera symbols seem pointless, I'd much rather them be keyboard or mouse keys, as in quicktime events I just dont know which button it wants me to press.

4/5 overall review.

Early Access Review
After about an hour of playing I can see that it is a very stable beta, excluding the expected character resets which aren't a problem if you don't mind resarting, which I personally don't.
Complicated at first, but then interesting and easy to use inventory interface, HUD is minimal and great, but the favourite feature of this game for me is the soundtrack - paired with the art style of the game makes it an absolute joy to sit down and play.
I haven't found any major bugs, Starbound feels smooth and gives a lot of customization to how you play the it, I'd reccomend it to anyone.
