Reminds you of when video games were just about FUN!

My girl absolutely adores this little mouse! We had more fun playing this, than Spider-man by far!
It's nice to see some games still exist that are just made for fun, and not agenda pushing or propaganda!

Here's hoping for a sequel!

Low quality TRASH. A game with such a basic graphics design, should not run like complete stuttering garbage on modern hardware. Pathetic.

Really unfinished. Stutters on a 2070 Super. Half the time, the buttons don't even respond in menus. During a race, the car will randomly just turn completely black. To top it off, you cannot pause in races at all!! I'm sure there are plenty of other problems, but I already gave up after this much in less than 30 minutes!

If you are looking to just have fun racing Hot wheels cars, look elsewhere! This IS NOT a casual game you can enjoy along with younger players. What a shame. Even the easy difficulty is a freaking rubber-band joke. Also, if you speak up in hopes they might tweak it, they will block you like snowflakes.

The "new" AI has completely ruined this game. Even on the VERY EASY difficulty, the AI is still up your ass every second!!
IF you do happen to get a big lead, don't worry, it will be erased in the next turn.

NOPE. Still the same. I wouldn't wish this putrid garbage AI rubber-banding on my worst enemy!

The inconsistent difficulty completes kills the fun!!!
I don't even care about the constant visual glitches, or stupid hard to reach collectibles.
Playing on EASY mode to just enjoy the main game, and it's anything but!
Arena races, Arena championships - can lap others no problem.
Wreck, or spin out in a 3 lap arena race? Still no problem to win!
Then you do the outdoor world races, and it's like it's locked at Hard mode?!?
If you spin out even one time during a 5 minute race, you mine as well restart, because you're LAST.
Over shoot a checkpoint just slightly, and have to back up, hit it and keep going? Oh well. LAST PLACE.
Screw This.

The concept is fun at first. But it VERY quickly passes the extreme frustration mood it gives you, to downright boredom.

Life long Sega Genesis/SOR player left disappointed. I grew up playing the original trilogy hundreds of times over the years. I'm a Streets of Rage veteran, not some beat em up noob. Something about this game just leaves an unsatisfied feeling. It just does not have that overall fun feeling the originals gave me. I just cant place my finger on it specifically. I don't think it's the art style so much.
My pros and cons:
+ The retro characters is a cool unlockable idea
+ The reveals and cameos of old school characters was awesome, especially the confirmation of Axel's brother
+ Having 12 stages is a plus

- The difficulty is a little ridiculous even on easy with all the cheap hits and excessive dodging enemies
- Too many repeated enemies, and A LOT of old enemies do not appear
- You get knocked down WAY too easy and WAY too often!
- The new music does not compare to the classic music at all
- No secret Mr. X return was kind of a bummer

All in all, it feels more like a fan game (like Sonic 4 did, what a coincidence). I would have preferred a remake of the Fighting Force game instead.

Straight to the point review! The nostalgia drops off QUICK in turn for tediousness!
What is Good:
- The obvious Streets of Rage tributes are cool
- Music and Graphics are great
What is Not Good:
- Very limited combos
- Annoying bosses, especially the final
What is GOD AWFUL:
- The cheap hits, and how easily you always get knocked down completely ruins this game

Still the best of the racing series. No gimmicks, plus Shadow's motorcycle, enough said!
