I know there is a sequel but fired this up after initially not really getting it. Then I spent over 400 hours on Isaac and got the bug for rougelikes. All I can say is if you enjoyed FTL, love a bit of Elite and adore a bit of a hard as nails grind to find every secret then you'll love this!

Yeah there are bugs, yes it kills older hardware but wow what a lavish and intricate rendering of a future city with some very deep customisation and all the side quests you could ever want before you complete the prologue!

Such a lush and beautiful landscape depicted! If you are like me youll just be marvelling at the little things like the fireflies at night or the beautiful snow capped mountains.

The quests are epic and are in abundance - to the point where I've only done a couple of story quests in my 40 hours :)

The one and only grip is no beserk poison that's appeared in most of the other titles. It would be hilarious to see a group of the Spartans fight it out together.

I would say that Origins has more of the Assassins story that revolved around the pre-templar cult, the Hidden Ones and the ever so subtle nods to the Izu and the Atlantean tech.

Odyssey is the true 'origins' story - the spear that Alexios carries eventually becomes the first hidden blade and the cult is already well established that eventually becomes the Templar.

If you like Ray Harryhausens depiction of the Greek gods, myths and legends then youll love this - minus any skeletons though.

Since playing this in its alpha form this amazingly atmospheric game has grown from strength to strength. The graphics have evolved as has the story and UI. Its a true passion project.

The most addictive, frustrating and 'eventually' rewarding. The last DLC - Repentance - will just add to the pain and misery :)

Early Access Review
What can I say - its got pirates, ships, parrots and cannons. What more would you ever want from a pirate game. Plus the developers are easy to talk to and listen to the feedback.

Legendarys Beware!
