I'm only 4 hours in, but this is the best Battlefield I've played since Battlefield 4 (after they fixed it..). The graphics might turn some people of, but after a while you really don't think about it. Well worth the price!

Not having played the original Half-Life since I was maybe 8 or 9 years old, (I'm 31 now) I can't really say anything about if Black Mesa is true to the story, or what has been changed. The long intro on the train, and the boss where you throw explosives around to distract it, are pretty much the only things I can recall from the original game.

That being said, it does FEEL like what I felt when I played the original all those years ago. All the sounds, settings, the UI and much of the dialogue, just feels familiar! The only thing that really bothered me at all, is the bad lighting from the flashlight when you're crawling in the vents or pipes, or if an area is really dark overall.

It's definitely worth a buy! Gonna head back in there right now!
