More of a chill sandbox. Very limited in many ways, but very easy to use and quite fun to play around with.

I created my character then got kicked to game menu, rejoined to see I had somehow died in the tutorial. Forced to respawn I'm in the 2nd tutorial area and can't get underground to the first part of the tutorial. The game has now soft locked me from progressing at all since I cannot complete the first part of the tutorial. Unstuck doesn't work. Dying doesn't work. Game does not allow me to delete my character. Game doesn't allow multiple characters.

The discord server forces you to choose to receive notifications to join. To post you have to submit your phone#, reply with code sent to you, and then it asks for your Discord password. I'm not giving them my Discord password. This game is jank, and I'm just getting jerked around...

[Edit: The issue has now been sorted. I made a bug report and after initially being told to play on a different region I was finally able to kill my character and respawn inside the facility even though it didn't work before. So there is no in game help, but it seems like the bug it-self was corrected. I'm not changing my recommendation, because it was still a negative experience and no in game recourse was offered. It was up to me to randomly try killing myself again when it previously did not work. But at least I'm not soft locked out of the game anymore.]

Still figuring this thing out, but it's very fun and I keep wanting to do one more mission... Weirdly I love how fast it is to get in and out, no waiting 10 minutes on a load screen.

Use low or lowest settings, srsly.

This is a decent little RPG with combat that feels quite similar to XCOM: Enemy Unknown. I wish they had fleshed it out a bit more as it kinda feels like a mobile version of an isometric RPG, almost like a flash game, (though very advanced for flash). This is largely due to limited character customization and costuming options, low poly character models, and there's not much in the way of loot or exploration. You don't really search through things for loot, ect. For some this will be a bonus. For me it's a let down. I like having little rewards peppered around the environment giving me positive feedback for all my efforts at exploration. Instead I get very few and just explore every inch I can just because I can.

Apparently the DLC is supposed to be better than the main campaign as well, though I haven't tried it yet.

I found this game actually buggier on release than it was in Beta... and some things don't work as well as you'd like... but it's worth it. Pretty decent old skool style RPG with fairly newish graphics (some low res textures, but mostly the game is quite lovely). I also love that it doesn't entirely take itself seriously. Good sense of humor. Just go in knowing there will be some frustrations. Also the game has a little action at the start and then very little combat and a lot of dialog heavy questing, so be ready for that as there's really no way to skip ahead to the action as you'll be underleveled and get your arse handed to you. But then this is not Torchlight or Diablo.

This has to be played by anyone who liked anything about space operas... ever. If you were ever a fan of Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Babylon 5, ect... and wanted to play a game that let you command a ship and crew and have your own adventures, this is it! It's simple enough to pick up quickly and not be bogged down, but deep enough to lose yourself in for hours trying to play just one more sector.
