A very worthwhile souls-like that borders into Nioh territory, sans the complex gear matching and crushing it made you do for anything worthwhile. I recommend that you lean into the game mechanics, it plays more like an ARPG with Souls-like difficulty schemes to force you to be selective in your aggression and how you make your openings. Grindy, in a good way. One of my favorite releases this year.

Something about these Room-like/Escape Room iPad games scratches an old itch for just wanting satisfying mechanisms to play out in Rube Goldberg-esque animations. Works wonderfully on Steam Deck, I'd maybe map a click to a face button to help with going back and forth between puzzle screens.

Easy recommendation for lovers of the genre, 10/10

Early Access Review
If you're into very technical rhythm games and feel like every electronic song needs a target gallery, this is for you.

The basic premise is essentially OSU in VR, where you wield color-coded beatguns to match the respectively colored targets, with your main sources of playing along to the songs as either single targets (beats), smashing disco balls, or sustains. The goal is to be as accurate and on-time as the rings around the targets close in to the beat. This can become incredibly complex to manage in the higher difficulties, but if you're already reading this, I think you know what you're getting yourself into.

Go watch a few videos of FC expert level runs. I can't understate the satisfaction you will get from FC'ing a particularly difficult track while looking/feeling like the slickest beat gunslinger out there.

There's an unexpected amount of personalization for your playstyles in the options, and it's recommended you explore your favorite color schemes.

The soundtrack, and it's growing, is already filled with artists like deadmau5, Zedd, Feed Me, Savant, Noisia, and I think you get the idea. THEY'RE GETTING THE GREAT STUFF.

It's made with love and care, with very active devs who listen to feedback. If you're looking for the next level of rhythm games, I highly recommend you try this out.

One of, if not the best, sandbox VR drum kits out there!

SERIOUSLY, take a chance on this Early Access title.

There's a lot to unpack, but essentially there's a full-fledged drum kit (and more) with the potential for MIDI interfacing depending on your kits, with some of the best handling of VR hardware and software I've seen yet. Highly responsive UI, adjustable and modifiable kits that can be saved and loaded and shared(dev has stated they're looking into Steam Workshop!)

If you aren't convinced, go check out the covers a few users have made inside the app!

Highly responsive and realistic sounds to hits, and with the developer actively listening to feature requests and bugs, this is a MUST HAVE if you are into any sort of music/rhythm game or are looking for scratching that drum itch.

This isn't a game. This is an experience. You will spend hours trying to get the perfect run, yet it never feels dull or frustrating. It's the soundtrack, driven with the satisfying "squish" of you bashing some poor mobster's head in over and over again, accentutated by the tight-controls and precision (which you will need!!!) just to achieve that "flow." Once you hit it, it's a high that's difficult to come down from.
