It's all fun and games until someone gets bored of life and starts throwing people into the TV

All seriousness, this is a really, really good game. Charming, challenging, filled with meaningful content and by the end I didn't want this experience to be over. I'd recommend this to anyone who's a fan of JRPGs. Atlus are absolute pros at this sort of thing

I noticed my son getting hairy and eventually it became apparent that he was in fact, a bear.

My heir is a bear with lots of hair
Then we founded a Norse Pagan religion that encouraged imbreeding to keep our hairy bear bloodline pure.

10/10 would turn the continent of europe into an empire of pagan imbred bear people again.

I'm reuploading my review because I need to say something.

STOP B**CHING. They don't want to be affiliated with white supremacy. Cry me a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ river "bro army".

Pewdiepie is a racist.

Oh and here's my review

"I went into this game not really knowing what to expect. Because of this, my mind was constantly racing and coming up with wild ideas about what was happening to these characters, and what was going to happen. The atmosphere takes you in - the isolation you have from being all alone in these woods makes you connect more strongly to Delilah, the other fire lookout and the only human contact you have.

I won't give anything away in terms of story besides the fact that it takes you by surprise.. and delivers a very human tale that will pull at your heartstrings, but not in the ways you'd expect. These characters are real and fleshed out. The game world feels alive.

Gameplay? You hike around and let the story unfold. It definitely captures the atmosphere of a mountain wilderness extremely well.

So all and all.. it's great. Is it $20 great? Depends. I for one am more than willing to pay that much for a rich, meaningful gaming experience, and have done so many times in the past - but I can also see why some would consider this game to be too short. I feel it would have been an even more amazing experience if it were bigger. It left me wanting more.. but I digress, it was still a great ride - and I can't wait to see what the developers do next.

I need to update my review now that I've beaten it, because MGS5 does have some glaring problems that I want to address.

1. The story was not very good. From chapter 1 it doesn't give you much incentive to really care about getting revenge on Skull Face, even if you've played Ground Zeroes - and it all feels anti-climactic all the way through.. especially after chapter 2, where the plot falls apart and feels disjointed and scattered. I think this was Kojima's intention, to give players the feeling of "Phantom Pain" but it still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. There is a twist that retcons a lot of things in the series - and depending on your perspective, that can be a good or bad thing. For me it's a bad thing. Konami also removed a crap load of content that was supposed to be in the game. Apparently there was supposed to be a third chapter, but they rushed Kojima to put it all out as quickly as possible. This is not the story Kojima wanted to tell.. at least I don't think it was.

2. The missions are repetitive and few offer any relation to the story. It becomes boring when the majority of your gameplay consists of
- 3 minute helicopter ride
- sprint to location
- fulton target or blow something up
- escape

I really, truly felt like MGSV could have been the greatest game in the series - and in gameplay it truly is.. but the flaws really make it difficult for me to call this a masterpiece.

"Masterpiece.

I played Ground Zeroes, the standalone prologue to this game for well over 30 hours - mastered every nook and cranny and never really got bored of it despite it's scope. Going into the Phantom Pain, I expected to beast everything with my acquired skills. I was wrong, and in a great way. The game tested my merit in many ways and caused me to approach missions in ways I never expected I would.

The Phantom Pain is the crowning achievement of Hideo Kojima. His swan song - in a sense. The sheer amount of tactical freedom the game gives you is mindblowing. Although there aren't a lot of cutscenes, besides in the prologue and maybe in later portions - and it's not "as" story driven as it's predecessors, but with gameplay like this I really couldn't give a damn.

I was so sure the Witcher 3 would be my Game of the Year.. but now I have to say TPP takes the cake. No game I've ever played has this amount of polish, content and variety. It lived up to every claim Kojima made, and then some."

PC version done right. Take note Ubisoft and Bioware...

Pretty much everything to say about this game has already been said. Excellent stealth mechanics, amazing visuals and gameplay. A very nice preview of what is shaping up to be the greatest entry in the Metal Gear franchise.

Of course the obvious con is that it's on the short side, but there's so much replayability that it makes up for the obvious lack of content. I logged 14 hours into the Ps4 version and I can safely say I'll probably log 14 more in this one too.

What can I honestly say? This game is incredible on so many levels.

For starters, the combat is smooth, fluid and plays a lot like the Batman Arkham games but.. better. Package that into an Assassin's Creed style open world filled with collectibles and side missions? That in and of itself is fantastic. The world has a large variety of things you can do. Free slaves, ride a wild caragor or graug, or just spend your time endlessly slaughtering Sauron's forces.

A welcome feature is the artifacts, which have memories tied to them. By finding these artifacts, you can hear little dialogue exchanges tied to the item. A lot of these memories are actually directly related to the main mission characters you meet, so you get a better understanding of their backstory, which makes you want to hunt for them.

And now onto the star of the show.... the Nemesis System. This feature is what sets this game apart from the rest of it's genre and it's both innovative and inventive. The game is filled with randomly generated orc captains and warchiefs that have a massive variety of potential personalities and names. I went through 34 hours in the game and not once did I find two NPCs with the same personality. This attention to detail is staggering and it makes the world feel alive.

This also allows you to interact with these orcs on a more personal level than any other game I've played. Let me give you an example.

Early into the game I came across an orc captain that I could not for the life of me kill. Eventually I gave up trying and went along my marry little way. Eventually I get into a brawl with another captain somewhere, and who shows up? That very same orc. He hunted me down [not in real time of course] and because he didn't have his allies backing him up, I killed him. But contrary to what I thought, he didn't die. He came back time and time again.. at least on three separate occasions, until finally he stopped, and I assumed him dead.. however.

MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW

On the second to last mission, leading an army of orcs standing in my way of getting vengeance, there he was. After at least 15 hours of thinking he was dead, he returned in a climactic final battle and this was without a doubt the most epic experience I've ever faced in a game. I felt a very real bond with this orc after all the times we crossed blades.... and there was a hint of sadness with finally putting him down once and for all.

This is the kind of experience the Nemesis System offers, and now that I've experienced it, I don't want to let it go. I hope this feature is replicated in other games and improved upon in the sequel to this game because quite frankly

Now, my only gripes with this game are that the side missions really just consisted of freeing slaves and killing orcs in a variety of different ways. However the latter is also a positive because it teaches you different strategies and helps you vary your style. The ending of the story was kind of meh too... and ended on a cliff-hanger to obviously set up a sequel.

But all that aside, my verdict is 9/10. This is by far my Game of the Year and I can't wait to see how Monolith follows this up with DLC and the inevitable sequel. The fact that I put all this effort into reviewing it should tell you just how much I adore this game.

Must play for anybody, especially if you're a Batman fan. The environments are detailed and fit the gothic style the series is known for perfectly, and it brings back the whole cast of the Animated Series. It makes you rely on stealth in certain points, making you truly feel like the Dark Knight. There are also various collectables in the form of the "Riddler challenge" scattered throughout the game, which are a treat to hunt for, increasing the amount of hours you'll get out of this game. Only downside is the combat, which is a little simplistic and button-mashy, although that's mostly because it's strategy based, and you have many options of how you approach combat. You can use the grappling hook to draw enemies into an electrical barrier and electricute them, among other creative methods to take down your foe, for example. It's deeper than it looks.

9/10

Just like season 1, I laughed and I cried.. but the second season of this amazing series is unfortunately the weaker of the two, although still a masterpiece in it's own right. The stakes are higher, and while season 1 has you bond with Clementine on a personal level, season 2 directly puts you in her shoes, allowing you to mold and shape her character even further. This was a brilliant move for a variety of reasons, as given Clementine's age, she's physically far weaker than Lee was in season 1. Instead, she has to approach dangerous scenarious by being quick and clever in order to survive, making you feel more helpless than you did in S1. This changes things up a lot and I'm very happy with the direction Telltale took. Additionally, depending on the choices you make during the final episode, you have access to a variety of drastically different endings that from the looks of things, will give everyone a very different season 3, thus increasing the replayability.

Well done Telltale.. you've done it again.
