After all these years they still can't get the "auto" part in Grand Theft Auto correctly. 'All you had to do, was save the car after the mission CJ.'

Garage full of custom cars, can never use them because the minute I start a mission it's gone.

The three character system also meant that everytime you started a mission, you had to resupply three times. And with trevor always lying in a field in the middle of nowhere, his character trait stopped being funny and became annoying.

Did not thorougly enjoy this one, and given it's budget and hype (which I steered clear of) i'd say that's condeming enough.

Pretty competent game, nothing groundbreaking though. Not sure why everyone is complaining about the hacking, you can get away with throwing a few points into hacking early on, and once you have the pulsewave and dualshot (you can get them pretty fast) there is nothing difficult about it.

Some complaints are the melee combat system being somewhat clunky, enemies have 'kick' moves they chain and it doesn't appear they can be staggerd in their animation. It's basically down to getting them by suprise and mashing X, whilst staying ahead of him.

Ranged combat is ok, with the only problem (alteast on controller) being the lack of aiming sensitivity resolution.

The soundtrack is pretty good, but the loops are not well implemented. You can clearly hear it looping.

The singularity ending was a 5 second clip then credits, rather disappointing...

But I enjoyed it, get it if you can. It's a solid 10-15 hours depending how much of a completionist you are.

Story draws heavy parallels from earlier sci-fi tropes and present-day racial tentions (migrant crisis, black lives matter). But it's not like other great sci-fi's haven't drawn ideas from earlier adopters. The beloved Mass Effect series is basically Babylon 5, Star Trek and Farscape thrown into a blender. The only gripe I have is that some of the 'plot twists' can be seen a mile away, and whilst for the side missions you can direct your character to steer clear of the obvious trap, the same can't be said for the main story.

Honestly, who couldn't tell the psychiatrist was a double-agent can apply for social benefits.

Game has ample, got a solid 30 hours of gameplay on medium difficulty. Did all the side missions and went through people's personal info like a true interpol agent, though. Replay value is good due to the midgame choices, and seeing how aproaching everything differently plays out. There is also a newgame+

Performance was fine for me, had to tinker with the settings a bit but that's PC gaming's big benefit. Only the console generation thinks everything should run maxed out 60 fps on their toasters. The game features some taxing visual settings that given some of the complex scenes should warrant heavy resource draw. Though I think the main problem is people running <4 GB vram and <8 GB system ram. Consoles have lots of ram and this means the ports will rely on memory aswell. With my mix of settings (mostly high, very high), gameplay wasn't 60fps throughout (specially golem), but stutter free. But I play stealth, so input latency wasn't an issue.

4670K @ 4.2ghz, 16GB of ram, GTX 980. WIn10 Pro. 1440p.

Payed 25 euro for it, well spent.

Saw this game on TB's new After Hours series and was intrigued enough to try it out. Was pleasantly suprised.
Bit of a mix between Worms, FTL, XCOM. Nice art style, fluent gameplay. It's got a nice hook to it that made me want to continue playing, which doesn't happen very often anymore. Most games I tend to lose interest after ~60min.

Story is a tad corny, but it's passable. Balance is also a bit off sometimes, i've hit a few brick walls. Timewise you're looking at 15-20 hours easily if you go for all the stars and are generally not a rusher. Solid game, probably gonna buy the DLC aswell.

Solid game. Fast-paced, lots of action and really good performance on PC.

Didn't like the bloated upgrade system, I could do without upgrades in my Doom game.
But that doesn't really detract much.

Hitboxes are sometimes off aswell, especially with Quad Damage. I've seen so many missles pass enemies, it's a little frustrating if you're playing higher difficulties.

Multiplayer is ♥♥♥♥ though. So get it from youknowwhere for a discount, of wait for steamdeals till it drops to about 30-40 euro.

One of the worst support from a AAA developer in a long time. Just for that it deserves a fat downvote. Many gamebreaking bugs still present in the game months after the release.

Hey Firaxis, why don't you go ask the dutchies over at Nixxes how you properly support a PC release. Hacks.

They got out 5 patches in the time you got 1 measly fix out, which only served to cut down the game because you couldn't be arsed to balance or fix the engine.

Works as advertised, very easy to use. Playing Tomb Raider 2 without those damn borders now. 10/10

I just want to add this caveat for people who really get put off by this;

The game has some of the worst mouse acceleration+smoothing i've ever witnessed. Nothing remedies the issue (yes even the 58fps and vsync fixes). All threads on this are ignored and unsolved, devs don't want to fix it.

No .ini fixing either.
